cuz the uterus pain don’t stop"

Text I sent to friends and my twitter: "Occasionally I get so hyper and goofy and I just say the most inappropriate things"  The above is an example. Uttered by me to my >male< coworker. *facepalm* I apologized.

Came home and watched How to Marry a Millionaire. I know everybody loves Marilyn Monroe and I think she’s a great beauty, too, but Betty Grable Lauren Bacall outshined her in that film for sure. Mmm, mm.  Sass.

Watched Deep Space Nine with Brian afterward.  It was a good episode and the show is picking up after its slow beginning in season one. I think Brian is even mildly interested now.

Jenny and I talked on the phone which was cool cuz we haven’t in basically forever. Her phone is all staticky and yucky with reception so I always feel like I’m spending the whole conversation either pretending I heard her or asking her to repeat herself. I swear we’d talk more if she got any reception at all.

I’m getting the IUD in a week. It’s part of a phase 3 research study on the new generic form of Mirena they’re coming out with.  I was nervous at first but I trust generics in every other field of my life, and with the pills I take now, so it seems like just another extension of that. Plus it’s some extra money coming in. I’m only nervous about the pain. When I had my uterus measured, it was pretty darned horrific. I just have to keep in mind that it’s a few minutes of pain for multiple years of effortless birth control action.
