The weekend of my dad’s birthday

I know its been a little bit but I’ll just update on the only thing thats really happened out of the ordinary lol. Anyway on the date above a guy from church, Stephen, texted me asking what I was up to that night. I wasnt doing much of anything besides watching a movie with mom and dad. So he comes over to pick me up and we head to El Alcapulco. I hadnt been there in a long time since I usually go to El Puerto (its cheaper for the same kind of food). Anyway I didnt know they started having a live mariachi band playing there. I had a blast watching them. One of the guitar players kept smiling and me and stuff. And he was a big ham. I was taking pics on my phone of them and he posed in every last one of them while he was playing. Too funny lol. I had a yummy ice cream dessert there too. After the restaurant we went back to my house for a bit. Stephen and dad hit it off really well while he was there. After that we went to his friend Laura’s house to watch movies. While we were at Laura’s, Jacob texts me out of the blue. Anyone remember him? I’m not sure if I wrote about him a couple yrs back or not. We were I guess kinda sorta talkin at one point. He would always ask me out but never follow through then kinda flipped out saying he wasnt ready for a relationship. Meanwhile I was like ummmm you started all this relationship talk. Not me lol. Anyway we’re still friends obviously but I only hear from him only every once in a while because he stays busy and I do my own thing too. Anyway, after the movie, Stephen dropped me off home and that was that.

The next day Jacob texts me again asking me what I was up to. I said I was chillin at the house by myself kinda bored. He said he was in town (he lives, works, and goes to school an hour or so away) and asked me if I wanted to join him at a cookout at his gran’s house. I assumed since we’ve never hung out outside of school much less met his family that it would be like a big huge thing. Cookout makes me think of a big gathering with lots of friends and family. Boy was I wrong. I was the only friend there invited plus it was only his gran, his parents, and his cousin Van. Very small family only type of thing other than me of course. I was tickled he invited me to hang out at his gran’s house and wanted me to meet his family. All we did was chill out for a few hours and watch a movie. I enjoyed it though. On the ride back to my house he kept talkin about how he wants a good Christian girl now. When we got to my house he came in for about an hour or so and talked to my parents for a bit. Dad liked him as well. Jacob left and texted me saying he was now satisfied with his weekend. Me being me I was joking around and said yeah I know it was all because of me. I didnt think he’d take me seriously but he was like yeah I had good company and that we should do it again sometime. Oh and his gran told me to come back and visit too. So that was a plus.

This was my dad’s birthday. So we got up and got ready to go to Jonesboro. We did some shopping (I cant remember what I bought if anything lol) Anyway. We ended up going to Chili’s to eat. My brother Josh joined us with 3 of his friends, Josh A., Kristina, and Jordan. Jordan stood out wearing a big Burger King crown to show that it was his birthday too. lol. I paid for my brother and Kristina as well as myself and my parents. Josh and Kristina didnt eat much because they went to Burger King, obviously, before we called him and told him we were in Jonesboro. Josh A and Jordan split a Chili’s special and me and mom did the say. The special included an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert all for $20. Couldnt beat that with a stick. I had a ginormous burger that I couldnt finish it. Josh A., who was sitting right next to me, heard me say I was full so he reached over and snatched my burger off the plate. At first I was shocked and was like no you didnt but the I had to laugh lol. We all spent the whole time laughing and what not. Mostly at Josh and his friends. He has a great group of friends. He’s always kept good friends around. Dad genuinely enjoyed his birthday which is great because he’s been dealing with a whole lot lately. Which I probably need to come back on here and write about. But this is long enough for now. I’ll be back in probably a couple days or so… hopefully lol. I love you all and God bless. Leave me love annnd I send hugs and kisses to you all.
