the nonstop weekend
Well this weekend was HELLA busy but a lot of fun. Friday I woke up early to get ready for my 7th and 8th grade girl’s lock-in. I hosted it along with Deanna’s help. She almost flaked out on me at the last minute which frustrated me to no end. She eventually came around and it all came together. Anyway I got up and got some stuff together. Headed out about 9 am to go grocery shopping with mom. Got home about noon and at lunch with my parents. We chilled and watched a movie together and ate dinner. I finished packing and getting everything together then headed out about 5 pm to the church. Set things up at the church and waited for Deannia and the girls to get there about 6. We had a lot of fun. I did a quick lesson and a craft with them, we put on stick on tattoos (something fun for the girls lol), listened to music and let them run and play around. We also played pool (we have a pool table in the youth room), at pizza, and made cookies. The girls were up and going until about 2:30-3 am before they finally crashed. We all went to sleep.
Saturday we woke up about 8 am to get everyone’s stuff together and clean up the youth room and kitchen. Went with Deannia to drop some of the girls off home and to her house for my mother to pick me up. Put my stuff away at home and headed right back out literally with my parents to Jonesboro to spend some time with my brother. I got home about 5:00-5:30 pm. Leroy called me about 6 because he was in town and wanted to hang out. He called me when he was right around the corner from my house so I pretty much headed out as soon as I called. Went to eat at El Puerto with him and his friend Luke, went to Leroy’s house afterward to chill for a while and watch Be Kind Rewind, then finally got home at midnight.
Today (Sunday) got up about 8 got ready in 30 mins to head out to morning praise practice and morning service right after practice as I do every Sunday. Leroy was still in town so he came to church, sat with him, then left with him to his house. HIs mother Mrs. Lisa made dinner/lunch for the family and we ate then the whole family headed off to the movies. We all saw The Secret Life of Bees which was awesome. I LOVED it. Right after the movie we went to the park so they could take family pictures (I watched). Then from there we went to the church were they dropped me and Mrs. Lisa off for evening praise practice and evening service as usual again for my every Sunday. Came home from there about an hour ago (its 9 pm now). And t hat was my entire weekend to sum things up. I had a LOT of fun. I’m exhausted now so I’m going to go chill.
