Nojomo 4 – Late again; prayer needed

So I went to youth group today and one of my kids, Summer came up to me as we were closing in prayer and wanted to talk to me. She was telling me that her mother got back with her ex boyfriend annnd that is not a good thing. Her mother is a drunk and he is a drunk but her mother does better when he’s not around. He is very abusive toward her mother and doesnt even try to hide it from Summer or her brothers. Summer told me today that she has been thinking about suicide and that she hates her mother’s now boyfriend. My heart goes out to her. I love Summer to death and I really wish I could take her and her brothers in. Unfortunately I cant. I told her that I’ll be praying for her and to not ever think about suicide again because she has adults around her that love her and will help if we can. I showed her Psalm 91 and she asked me to pray over her so I did. As I did she buried her face into my shoulder and just cried as I held her. Mind you she’s 13 not a little kid. I cant even imagine what she’s going through seeing her mother choked and beaten and both adults in her household passed out drunk every night. I told Mrs. Lisa since she leaves closer to them than I do and she knows more of the situation than I do. Plus she works for the school system so maybe she can figure out something to do better than I could. For you believers out there please pray for her and for me. I really want to be a blessing to her and her brothers but I am very limited on what I can actually do. Just pray that God will keep giving me words of encouragement to them and that I have to strength to keep praying so I can be there for them emotionally and spiritually.
