Hey my loves. Its been a while since I’ve done an update entry. I dont even remember my last one lol. Ummm wow where do I start? I guess lets start at September 10th, 11th, and 12th. The youth crew went to Tallulah Louisiana for a youth conference. The kids did sooooo well at kicking off praise and worship and reaching the people and we had a lot of fun too. WeChange (the Tallulah youth crew) and Y.O. Y. (our youth) made an amazing connection. By the time we left all the kids had exchanged numbers and facebook pages and acted like they had known each other for years. Its a beautiful thing. This was also my first chance to bond with my new youth. I started teaching at this new church for the first time in September as well so I hadnt spent a whole lot of time with any of the kids at all. So I jumped right in and volunteered to be one of the adults to go on the trip. I shared a room with 4 of the girls and had a lot of fun with them. We rehearsed for several days a few hours each of those days for this trip and God was AMAZING in not only the night of their singing but in rehearsals too. I mean the Spirit was so strong at each rehearsal that it’d just wreck rehearsals. We’d never actually finish rehearsing. Every time we’d end up on the floor crying out and praying and the kids experiencing God on whole new levels. Its really an amazing thing. I am SO glad I joined Word of Truth and got involved with the youth and praise team. I feel myself growing my leaps and bounds these last few months and I’ve learned so much being in these ministries at this church.

October 1st (Friday) I got to go to KY to see my babies! I was so excited! I had missed my babies and they had missed me. I got to spend time with kiddos and Kerri. Stevi and her new hubby and her mom Jacqui came to see me at Kerri’s too. We sat and talked for a couple of hours and caught up. I was so glad to see them and be able to catch up with the few people that I did see. We came back home on the 2nd. Soon as I got home I took a super quick shower and headed right back out with LeRoy since he was in town with his cousin Winston. I stayed the night with them at his mom and dad’s house. Spent quality time with them and we all went to church the next morning. After church we ate an awesome late lunch/early dinner and piled into the living room to watch a movie.

October 8th, 9th, and 10th was our R.E.H.A.B: Release Every Habit Addiction and Bondage youth conference. WeChange came to town to support us and do a few songs/dances/skits with us. It was GREAT! Such a HUGE success. We drew in a lot of people and a lot of people were blessed and delivered from things in their lives. And no I’m not just saying these thing. People have actually come up to us and told us they were blessed and they really enjoyed it. The first night (8th) we had a very epic skit where the leaders were nurses in a rehab center. The youth pastor, Derrick, was dressed as the Psychiatrist and it was pretty awesome. The second night (9th) was the night WeChange got in and did a few step routines and a dance. That night we all went to Derrick’s house for a late dinner and just chilled out for a couple of hours. His house was PACKED full of teenagers. Both Y.O.Y. and WeChange crews were there so there were teens everywhere goofing around and having fun. I had so much fun with them and a lot of laughs for sure. The 10th was our last night and all of the youth leaders got up and spoke for a little bit. That was my first time speaking in front of a whole congregation! I was SOOOOOO nervous! But a few people came up to me and told me they really enjoyed what I spoke on and that I did well. They said they couldn’t even tell I was nervous. I was really surprised.

Lets fast forward to last week. Wednesday at church Shalonda (another youth leader my age) invited me to hang out with her Thursday afternoon. I was like super excited because she is so much fun and that was the first time her and I hung out like one on one outside of church and youth rehearsals and church/youth events. We went to Mrs. Tonya’s (pastor’s wife) salon and got our hair done. I got a fabulous layered cut and I LOVE it. I got a ton of compliments on it. One of my youth kids, Alexis, even looked at me like woooow. lol. I had to pick on her about it. I told her You dont have to be looking at me like I always come to church looking raggedy lol. She started laughing. Shalonda and I were in the salon for a few hours so that’s all we did pretty much. But I had fun and this was the first time since Jeff Dunham pretty much since I’ve hung out outside of church with someone my age and a chick no less. I havent had girl time in a long time and a girl needs a good chick friend to hang out with and talk to you know? Deannia and I dont hang out anymore so I’ve been missing having a good friend around. I really think Shalonda is going to become one. WeChange came back into town late that night and stayed until Saturday night because Friday night we all were invited to join in on a youth explosion at Fullness of Joy in Jonesboro. Oh and Y.O.Y and WeChange merged into Jesus Junkie Inc. So we’re one big happy family now! The kids love each other and get so excited every time they’re about to get to see each other. They get teary eyed when they have to be separated again. Its a beautiful thing to see connections like that you know? The night in Jonesboro was so much fun. The kids danced, and had fun with the Jonesboro youth. They had a little dance battle afterward and enjoyed pizza and sodas so it was very enjoyable. Yesterday after church Shalonda and I struck out to Jonesboro with her nephew. We ate at Olive Garden which was fire! lol Then we went to her sister’s house were everyone in the house took a 2 hour nap before heading to Fullness of Joy again for the last night of the youth explosion. They had YPJ there (Look him up on youtube. He’s awesome). He was a traveling youth pastor but he doesnt travel very much now that he’s a pastor at a church. But I really enjoyed his message last night. When we headed home Shalonda shared a few things and a few laughs so it was a lot of fun. Oh and the heels of my shoes completely fell apart on me -.- I had to kick them off at Fullness of Joy. lol I’ll get a pic of it and hopefully post it on here soon.
