Lots to catch up on
So starting from 2 months and some odd days ago, the VDay banquet was fabulous. I had so much fun. LeRoy was there to take pics. Me and Deannia took one together and that was the start of us hanging out again pretty much. Matter of fact I spent the last 2 nights with her. I did get my nails done for the banquet and finally got them taken off today. I got an overlay over my real nails that had grown out annnd they filed them too much for my liking but they’ll keep growing.
Anywho on March 27, my dad, Aunt Raquel (from Memphis), and I headed out on an insanely long drive to Ocala Florida. My granny was in the hospital and not doing well at all. He had a huge blood clot in her leg and had high risk for it to flow up to her heart or brain. He also has bad diabetes annnnd severe ulcers. Yeah she’s in bad shape. Plus her memory is fading. Sometimes she seems foggy and distance and other days she’s sharp as a tack. Anyway we started out at 3 pm that Saturday and got to the hospital (we went straight there) Sunday morning about 8 am. My Aunt Marisol met us there who lives an hour away and is over granny’s medical/financial decisions. She was SUPER excited to see me since I hadnt seen her in about 7 yrs more or less. She squealed and gave me a huge hug much like Aunt Raquel did. It’s been just as long since I saw her even though she only lives an hour and a half or so away. We basically spent the whole trip between the hospital, hotel room, and Aunt Bruni’s house. Didnt go out to see the sites or anything since it wasnt a trip meant for fun. I did get to see my friend Becca that I went to school with and met her husband that Tuesday night. We just went out to this FABULOUS Spanish restaurant with authentic Spanish food (Cuban, Ecuadorian, etc). I fell in love. lol. I’ve missed spanish food. Aunt Bruni also fixed us a couple of Puerto Rican dinners while we were there as well. I am so wanting to move there or SOMEWHERE with a wide variety of culture and stuff to do. I got to spend lots of time with granny which is why i wanted to go. I know realistically that was probably the last time I was going to see her. She’s already in her 80s and her health isnt good as I said earlier.
Anywho we got home at like a few mins before midnight Wednesday the 31st and straight crashed. The next day I went out with Deannia to hang out and shop for a shirt for easter. We also got our nails filled in and designed. My nails matched my fabulous shirt. Hopefully I’ll eventually get around to posting a few pics. Friday the 2nd, dad, mom, and I headed to Kentucky to see Kerri, Aunt Linda and the girls. I ended up staying there for 2 weeks and spending time with my babies and family. Best time ever. I love being around my goddaughters and cousins. I got to see my cousin Brandy’s baby girl. She was born in January. I cant remember if I wrote about that before or not. She is such a doll much like my goddaughters. Makiyah is in kindergarten now and reading like crazy. And she adds too. Sissy is following right behind her trying to learn letter sounds and such. Another year and she’ll be starting kindergarten too. Where does the time go? I miss them already. I got back here a week ago Thursday.
Annnnd I think I’ll wrap this up right here for now. Im not feeling too good right now. I really hope Im not getting sick since Charlie was sick with a bad cough and fever when I stayed the night with Deannia. Ugh. Anywho love you all and God bless. *hugs and smooches*
