Being offensive and triumphant in the Word

A friend of mine asked me to send this to her for encouragement on Facebook, so I thought I’d post it on here too.

Deuteronomy 30: 11-16

11 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.
12 It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, "Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?"
13 Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, "Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?"
14 No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.
15 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.
16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you
will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

Speak to your situations with the Word.
The Word is your weapon of attack.
The army that advances and attacks wins the war.
Don’t retreat or stand still to hold your ground.
Attack and be offensive against the enemy.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You
                                  are not your own;

Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It cant dwell in uncleanness. Keep yourself holy so the Holy Spirit will dwell in you.

God is waiting for you to move and speak.
Get into the Word.

Proverbs 31:23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

The gate is where ruling counsel and elders tend to the city. Satan’s counsel will not prevail at the gates and should be worried about
us and what we are going to do to its gate. Not us worrying about what Satan is going to do to our gates. We should be frustrating the
devil and not the other way around.

Isaiah 28:5-6 In that day the LORD Almighty will be a glorious crown, a beautiful wreath for the remnant of his people
6 He will be a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

Adjust the way you think and chase after Satan. Be offensive and turn him away from our gate.

Colossians 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Satan has already been disarmed and we have been given the weapon.
Triumph is the celebration of a victory already won!

2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ…

Triumph in ALL areas.

Matthew 28:18-19 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the  Holy Spirit,

Leaves no power to Satan because Jesus has ALL authority in heaven and on earth.

Weapons of attack:

If you dont use it, it lies dormant.
Never turn your back on satan (never give up). That’s giving him power back.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit,  joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

There’s power in the Word so what are you building and tearing down?
