Welcome back, OD

I got a notification on my phone the other day. It was an email. I quickly looked at the sender and saw that it was OpenDiary. What’s this? I open it and discover that, lo and behold, OpenDiary — a site I loved, a site on which I spent many years of my life, a site by which I was devastated when it shut down — was BACK! And now, so am I! I’ve had so many diaries on this site in the past, and I only wish I could reclaim all of them. Alas, most of them are from old and inactive email addresses. But this is more than good enough! I’m still a little foggy on the membership rules. The email seemed to state that if you already had a diary from the old site, that you have a free, lifetime membership, but when I go to my membership settings, it states that my “free” membership will expire in May. ???? I don’t really know what to think about that. As much as I love writing on OD, I’m not going to pay for a membership. I don’t know why OD is charging for this site in the first place.

Oh well, if I only have until May to write, then that’s fine.

I read all my old entries from this diary and they’re pretty funny. It’s strange how much I’ve changed since then yet I’m still exactly the same in a lot of ways. I want to get into all that, what’s different and what’s not in my life, but I’m at work now so I probably shouldn’t spend the whole shift writing. Even though I have literally nothing else to do. I’ll probably write later this evening when I get home.
