Yep its Monday

Today was a good day. They don’t happen very often but today was a joy. Pain seemed to have gone but walking was still a nightmare…but I could get away without using my wheelchair. I would rewind but think that is for when I am going to do an enormous entry rather than a catch up.

IT systems that are still firmly based in Office 2007….well that’s an overestimate as to how old they are…slows the world of anything down and really any net-based research is beyond no chance. Fortunately today was a day of review and check or reconciliation so the web side could take a back seat. Ah the delights of commercialism when applied to public services.

The snow of the weekend has all but gone and the sun is out. The remaining snow glints like diamonds from those cold dark parts the sun doesn’t reach. They almost look like an entrance to a different world. Where the snow is still lying there can be seen the poking of colour from the shoots of the early flowers. Snowdrops…crocuses…hyacinths are all showing that there is new life around the corner. Doesn’t say how far from the corner but a good reminder of the joy that may come.

Today is indeed a good day…

…well until the wife returns!
