oh my

 The funeral has taken place and went as well as these things ever do. Nice picture and the coffin was wrapped in a white ensign alleged to have come from HMS Belfast…it was the wrong colour as a Merchant Seaman the flag should have been the Red Ensign but the thought was there and mum was made up.

Brother and his wife appeared and it was quite clear that whatever I said was wrong so it seemed like he has made his move out of the family into another but so be it.

It was good to see people that I had not seen for some time.

Work has carried on – as it always does – and my colleagues in other offices covered over the funeral period really well so ‘props’ to them as they say…and just as a new computer software package came in.

Now bear in mind I have had precisely the same training as everyone else why is it that my day is spent sorting out other peoples concerns…especially when they have the manual! And there are other packages to come – now I think I need the lottery win swiftly…very very swiftly.

Plenty more travel for the next software package which promises to be less useful than the one we have currently but then moving from local to national systems never is good…and this promises to be no different – government IT systems etc

So busy travelling and forking out for hotels and work has made for ‘interesting times’ but then it could be worse.
