and in other news the weather, British again, has changed from the mid high 20s (70s) to the mid teens (60s) and boy can you feel it – especially wth the rain that accompanies it. Mind it almost saves me the trouble of watering the pots…well except for the rain shadow that stops the rain actually getting to the soil.

Hospital appointment yesterday was remarkably efficient but also personal. New plan is inject the hip…see how it goes….if that doesn’t work inject the spine…review and then see how we go and if the worse comes to the worst get a sawbones to operate on the disks. Something I must admit I wish to avoid.

Saw the main man who was a young Indian chap, brilliantly pleasant and we even got to moan about the queue legth for getting tickets. He and his son wish to see India next year in the ICC One Day World Cup. Lets be clear this turns Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds into copies of IPL stadia. Very very different from British grounds eg Lords but the tickets are all nut impossible to acquire because they are just so popular. With Pakistan they are some of the best cricketers in the world regardless of what the stats or rankings say.

Me I am hoping to get tickets at Lords, unlikely as it is England v Australia, the Oval doubtful as it is England v South Africa in the first match of about 50. The other ones I hope for are in Cardiff for Sri Lanka v New Zealand…wonderful cricketers who cause England difficulties.

If you fancy Bangladesh v Afghanistan it should be a good match but doesn’t “float my boat”.

Tea provided by daughter and s-i-l this evening…only downside is I have the nun who will be all google eyed over the granddaughter (the 4th) Yes she is still the nun…those who know understand.
