Feeling Sorry For Ones Self…

Look, I’m not asking for much…I’ve feel I’ve paid my dues.  Damn it come on already!!!  Where is my F* brake?

I spent 8 years at Gingiss Formalwear; I started sweeping the floors in the warehouse.  I worked my way up to store manager, with option to own the business. I handled wedding at Disney World, I did bridal shows; I went to wedding professional meetings.  I was one of the top 3 people <My boss, a guy named Kevin at Sacino’s and me> in central
Florida
to go see about tuxedos, or most anything wedding related. I was connected for many years. I was able to handle the stress of the industry and let me tell ya “It’s Ugly!” Hell, my tuxedos where worn on Extreme Make Over Wedding Edition in February 2004.

So what I’m I crying about?  June 2004 I lost my option to buy the tuxedo store because Gingiss corporate got bought out by After hours by Mitchell’s. People no longer want service or quality. They want fast and cheap, screw quality.  I’ve learned this philosophy by watching people in the Blockbuster store I work in.  They are rude, impatient, and feel that the world revolves around them.  I can understand this and respect it from people who are getting married, because it’s one of the most stressful and important days of there lives.  I can’t get over this since of supreme importance people think they have when they rent a G.D. movie, get over it people it’s a friggin movie rental…your not even buying it!

I also spent time managing an EB store at the
Florida
mall…not just any volume sized store but a 2.5 million dollar store.

So where does my hard work get me at close to age 30?  A piss poor position as an ASSISTANT manager for a low volume Blockbuster making about 21-24 thousand a year… a good 10k plus pay cut from where I was, and by the way I was under paid when I was making that extra 10k plus.  The company treats me like I just graduated from high school, as though I have no experience. They steal my ideas that I brought to them for Game Rush, and I don’t even get a professional nod.
