Wii weather channel

The weather channel went live today on the Wii, and when I got home I was greeted by the lovely pulsing blue slot-light. A 5 minute download later and the weather channel was up and running.

For my home city of Melbourne, current temperature, maximum for the day, temp for tomorrow and a 5 day forecast are viewable, and all of the same data is available for a fair few cities around the world with the exception of the 5 day forecast. You can zoom out from your home city and drag the globe around in a way not dissimilar to Google Earth, all accompanied by more of the charming simple Nintendo music I’ve grown to love in this console.

Absolutely brilliant!

It does indeed look great. I was expecting just a page that updates regularly with different pages for world weather, but the actual presentation is lovely. All we need is to have our Mii’s running about around the globe.
