Wii Opera Browser | Trial version

I probably should have dropped an entry about this on the night it was launched, but yesterday I downloaded the trial version of Opera for the Wii.

I’m sure everyone is already bitching about the limited functionality of it, but it really is just a trial version with limited support, and I must say that for what is effectively a beta, it’s pretty good. The clips on YouTube work, streaming samples from Last.fm work, as does all the Strong Bad flash stuff. I did try the Flow flash game (the one that has been adapted for PS3 online), but the browser doesn’t seem to support the more full-on flash stuff.

Chibi-R and I watched a film called Junebug last night, and I really enjoyed it, so much so that I’ve decided to purchase it at the next convenient opportunity. It’s also pretty much given me the final inspiration for a piece of writing I’m about to do over in vroenis, so without further ado, I’m off to indulge my romantic sensibilities!

Yay for Opera on Wii. All I need is broadband and I’ll be set. Also the DS Opera browser is out soon. Will get that too. Junebug is great. Must watch again.

hey did you know that the Opera browser was developed by Norwegians?
