Summer of Gunpla | Perfect Grade weekend – part 2
Ultranerd image-flood imminent.
PG runner heaven.
Rok’s 00 Raiser runners on the left-hand side of the table, my Strike on the right-hand side.
Solid metal pieces for Strike’s knees and hips.
Pollies.
Shineys.
Hands.
I guess everyone’s home.
The Adventures of NG: Hmmm, I wonder if they’ll fit…
I’ll just try one on.
Maybe it’s a size too big.
Huzzah!
These are definitely too big.
Man that is one big foot.
Strike’s legs.
Strike and 00’s legs and torsos.
NG tries out PG’s legs.
These dagger compartments are pretty big.
Mine don’t have that much room.
There is so much more space in there.
Precious cargo.
Tiny tiny human in the cockpit.
PG Strike complete: air-guitar celebration!
NG surfin 1.
NG surfin 2.
Allegedly this is the Seed pose, though they’re lacking guns for this shot.
NG and PG discuss the coming build.
We ran out of time as it’s early AM Monday as of posting-time. Pretty much built from noon Sunday until now, we’ll be finishing off weapons and items after work today (christ it’s late… early…). Building a Perfect Grade is serious business and takes a lot of time, but every minute of it is rewarding. The legs for Strike alone were well worth the high purchase price. All told, he’s very heavy indeed and the movement of the armour when he animates is awesome. It’s great to have fully hinged PG hands/manipulators which adds so much potential to posing hilarity – in the air-guitar shot I forgot to do the rock devil-hand with his left, but I’ll do a whole heap of poses and scenes sometime soon and post them.
Special thanks to Rok for a phenomenal weekend of Gunpla building. It’s going to be hard to go back to even MGs after the outstanding PG experience, but ultimately building is always rewarding… at least for as long as the parts don’t break on you, but no further mention shall be made on that subject. Don’t want to spoil the glow of completing PG Strike.
