On Prince of Persia 2008

I have been debating whether or not to write an extensive essay explaining precisely the many things that I loved about this game, and that I pretty much do not have a single thing I disliked about it, other than it had to end.
Thinking about it though, I think I can express myself thus;

Is it entirely out of your abilities to comprehend that not every single game has the same objectives? That they all have the exact same purpose? Is it outside of your capacity of understanding to figure-out that there may be more to a game than just the physical challenge it may present, or the illusory reward of the conclusion of the game? That a game may have more to offer you than just ‘beating’ it? Do you play all of your games to elicit exactly the same emotional responses every time?

Perhaps it’s too easy for me, too easy to see just how much there is in Prince of Persia. Like I’ve been saying to my friends, it’s actually a niche game and not everyone will get into it, but I’m good that way with interpretive and abstract-representative things. Prince of Persia 2008 is beautiful, and I can’t be bothered extolling its virtues to a market that bemoans lack of innovation and crucifies deviation from traditions in the same breath, with the inability to understand and appreciate anything that is remotely different to established genres, mechanics and traditional design-principals.

thats interesting.. well i’ll take in what youve said and rent when i feel. by the way from your entry and i havent read many but do you find yourself analyzing things naturally.. just its almost part of your personality? Its what others would see as going too deep into things or an analyzer would prob see everything as common knowledge? You seem like it a bit.. but hey i could be wrong. take care

lol i completely understand. COMPLETELY. Most people arent able to see or want to see much from life or the things made in life from its true depth. taking a step though.. everything unfolds. really nice talking to you, i feel human again lol. alot of ppl dont understand my views in many things but i can relate to u which is nice. hope ur day goes well, tho ur in AUS its prob night or somethin lol
