A fully fledged shoujo comedy! It even parodies bishounen cliches! This show is hillarious, but still maintains the shoujo ideology of characteres making subtle progress through everyday events and interactions. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!

Both the comedic and sincere sides of this show keep getting better. Ouran pulls no punches is poking light laugh-out-loud fun at shows like Marimite and Strawberry Panic, and maintains some of the ridiculous hijinks that make the comedic moments so hilarious.

As for the sincerity, Ouran shines with the best of emotional shoujo anime with some truly great moments between Haruhi and the other characters, each of which is wonderfully endearing and overflowing with individual charm.
