In acknowledgement of intelligent noting

I must say that I’m greatly thankful that I’m receiving notes that aren’t just direct encouragement. It’s so rare here on OD, usually people just shower each-other with praise or empathy which in itself is quite good, but rarely do people directly challenge or question what is written in these entries.

Thank you so much, I really am enjoying all of your notes, it is exactly the kind of discourse that I enjoy in life where we are free to question each-other without the fear of offending one-another. I know I can be stubborn at times, so it might sound like I have an answer for everything and that I’m not listening to you. Believe me I am, even when it doesn’t sound like it. As one particular reader of mine will know, everything is like a rolling conversation, and one idea often leads to another and so we go on and on in a constantly evolving conversation, unless of-course I’m being particularly stubborn.

Last night I worked on my supermodel entry, though I’m of two minds whether or not to post it. Firstly, there are so many negative things about modelling that I acknowledge and that others may associate with the entry, and believe me, it’s the stuff you don’t hear much about which is truly disgusting. The other side of the coin is that it is something of an atmospheric fantasy of mine, and lives somewhere in the surreal and non-existant utopia of the fashion industry where the girls aren’t all wafer-thin crack-addicts with eating-disorders (wild generalisation of-course). Maybe in about a billion years if we don’t kill ourselves off first (ha!), we may actually have an industry that doesn’t just acknowledge real women as a token goodwill gesture to the general public because sales of ready-to-wear were down a bit last season.
It’s also basically a list of songs and pieces of music, most of which you may not know.
I shall ponder this throughout my working day and decide when I get home.

I hope you do post it. I’d be really interested in reading it. xo

Yeah intelligent notes are hard to come by. I often ask readers for feedback, comments, suggestions, advice, and I’d get a, “good job!” “nice diary”, or better yet, a blank note with just the note leaver’s name.. Anyway, as for the fashion industry… so you’ve been to fashion shows? What are they like? Is it like what you see on TV, with a catwalk and people sipping champagne on round tables? =)

I would love to read that entry, as I’m sure most of your readers would. You should know by now that we’re not likely to judge based on your wildest fantasies, nor are we likely to criticise.
