full metal panic: the second raid

a seemingly strange name for the third series, but fumoffu counts as the second.

i must say i’m done with generic narrative surrounding evil terrorists. especially in this series. i know it’s at the heart of full metal panic, but fumoffu was so refreshing – after building Sousuke’s background, i really think the focus could have very well shifted to the relationship between he and Chidori. already in episode six of the second raid, the two of them have a fantastic scene together, and for me it has been the highlight of the series so far. i’m tired of seeing the ‘good guys’ get the crap belted out of them until the end when they innevitably win the day.

so unfortunately we’re all going to have to wait until the 15th for episode 8 because of the tennis, and a little while after that for it to be fansubbed.
