chibi-r, being the champion that he is, dutifully imported a PAL copy early from Europe, well that is to say DVDcrave imported it from Europe, and he bought it from DVDcrave…

in any case,
saturday night i borrowed it and rocked it out at my brother’s place as he and Zoe (his wife) had a whole stack of people over. we ran four-player co-op sessions and had the two best bongo players swap out with others to give them a go, bascially giving those who didn’t do so well a better chance at improving their skill.
it was so much fun, and everyone in the room had at least two rounds. while some of the new songs are a bit strange, perhaps not being the best for donkey konga, they’re still fun to bongo.

it’s hillarious watching a couple of metal heads laugh their heads of while bongoing to ‘slave for you’ by Britney Spears XD though of-cousre it isn’t her performance that is used in-game. Namco and Nintendo acquire the licences to re-create the tracks, and a mighty fine job they do too. none of us are into Britney by any measure, but when it comes to Donkey Konga, we’ll bongo just about anything!

i’ll eventually get this, not sure if i’ll get it early, as i’m keen to get the local release with another set of bongos, making them my 3rd set.
