Acorss the Universe

Friday night some friends and I trundled ourselves off to the local cinema to watch Across the Universe. I quite liked it. I liked it so much that on the weekend I bought the soundtrack – yes I know, I could have just purchased the actual Beatles’ albums, but that’s the whole point of theatrical versions of things, that they’re performed by different people, and I found their performances marvellous. Joe Cocker singing Come Together and Bono singing I am the Walrus are absolute classics.
In any case, I had sneaking suspicions that there would be a double CD available in the ‘States, so I jumped on Amazon today and ordered that too, such is the quality of the music in this film.
I love films that really ignite the romantic in me, and this film is such a one. I might actually go and see it again, in-fact I intend to.
You know if you like, you could come and see it with me. We might even hold hands and go out for a coffee afterwards.
