Sharon Eulogy

Ok ok ok, I realize nobody wants to read a eulogy, they’re boring unless you knew and loved the person. This is what I had to type with 6 people yelling different sentences at me all at the same. So much fun. 🙂 I thought I’d sort of honour her by putting it in here as well.

Sharon was born on September 2, 1972 In Barrhead, Alberta. She spent the first ten years of her life on a small farm in the Barrhead area, moving to Three Hills in 1982 where she attended school at Prairie. Upon completing her studies at Prairie, Sharon Sharon worked at various retail jobs, and moved to Calgary in 1998 where she continued her career in the retail industry. Sharon was appreciated by staff members and customers. Sharon felt great satisfaction in always being able to meet new people, sharing a laugh and a smile. She had many returning customers who always enjoyed her positive input and thoughtful suggestions, as well as her outgoing nature.

Sharon had many hobbies and talents, which included reading, listening to music, needlepoint, beadwork, and watching movies and T.V. In fact, Sharon was jokingly referred to as " The Walking TV Guide". Sharon had a great love for children and often volunteered her time working with children during Sunday School.

None the less Sharon’s most important interests were her family and friends, and especially her two little nieces Marissa and Kaitlyn. She would spend hours with her 2 little nieces playing with them and holding them and would take many many pictures of the girls, in fact sometimes go through rolls of film. Sharon would often make time with family and friends by making and sending homemade cards, making a phone call or simply sharing a laugh. Sharon was a thoughtful, caring and giving person and she showed this by the loving smile that she shared with each of us.

During the last three years, in an answer to prayers, Sharon was blessed to find a Christian home, owned by Harold and Sandra. She roomed with Ivy, Evelyn, and Krista, three wonderful roommates who prayed for her, loved her, and were there for her while she was away from home.

Sharon was predeceased by her grandparents, Adolph and Elsie Roths, and Theodor and Ottilie Heinrich, as well as two deeply loved aunts, Evelyn Breitkreuz and Elvira Heinrich.

Her father Walter passed away when she was six years old, and she missed him every day. It brings comfort to know that Sharon is now reunited with him in Heaven.

She is survived by her mother Gladys, her sister Patty and brother-in-law Scott and their children Marissa and Kaitlyn, and her brother James and sister-in-law Hayley. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Sharon’s death was a sudden and shocking tragedy. She lost the battle to a bacterial infection that was treated too late, much to the sadness and dismay of her family and friends. She was laid to rest beside her father at the Rich Valley Community Church, Barrhead, which is the same church where she was saved at a young age. Sharon will be deeply missed by her family and friends
