Grasping at Straws

I sat on the couch and begged and whined at my husband to take me to Macs to get cigarettes and chocolate milk. He refused,  so finally I ended up biking there with a flat tire, (which I promptly filled up when I got there) and biking back with my chocolate and smokes. I actually felt really good when I got home. Yeah, a five minute bike ride there and back, but maybe even the little things I do will help me bring me out of this funk.

The chocolate and cigarettes tasted funny. I’m grasping at straws when I say this, but maybe my taste buds are off because I’m pregnant.

Probably not, but…it’s worth hoping for.  I goggled it anyways, and saw this:

Food aversions or cravings:

Turning up your nose at certain foods is often the first hint that you’re pregnant. Even the smell of some foods may cause a wave of nausea in early pregnancy. One study suggests that pregnant women experience a unique aversion to coffee in the early weeks of pregnancy. Meat, dairy products and spicy foods are other common objects of repulsion.

Food cravings are common, too. Like most other symptoms of pregnancy, these food preferences can be chalked up to hormonal changes. Pregnant women typically find that their food tastes change somewhat, especially in the first trimester, when hormones have the strongest impact.

Yes, grasping at straws, as I said, but, there’s always maybe to get me through the 2WW!

In other news, that new A&W commercial really bugs me. You know, the one with the woman and man talking about the string beans and drizzle, and end up in A&W? They act like they really aren’t comfortable with eachother and…it’s all akward and I really find it annoying.
Anyways. I’m off to drink weird tasting chocolate milk and watch infomercials.  Am I the only one, when unsure about how something is spelled, googles the word to see if it’s spelled right, rather then run a spell checker? It just seems easier.

lol. yah that commercial is pretty uncomfortable. better than that one with the couple telling his parents they’re pregnant with the grampa burger, and him just wanting his onion rings. its so bad it kinda makes me angry.

I really hate his laugh it drives me crazy, I can’t wait until they stop showing that commercial. The lady looks like she just wants to get away from him but then she’s all like want to get a burger :p What woman in her right mind would eat at one place and then go for a burger ? Not women now a days. Stupid commercial (sorry) 😀

the spell checker on my OD is not working properly anymore, so i just spell things the way i want to (which is awful since that’s one of my worst subjects. spelling. yuck.) if there’s a word i think i would look really dumb misspelling though, i look it up in my dictionary that i always keep by the computer.
