Busy………………….

Hello all,
Hope your Spring and Summer have been treating you well.

It’s been a very busy time for me.  I have several weddings to play for, the first one will be this weekend, the 28th of May.  It’s at my church.  There are lots of things taking place that I’ve had a part of.  First the music.  The bride wants all the keyboards to play.  The organ, concert grand piano and the digital piano.  So the music that was given to the 3 of us who play was only written for one instrument.  I took the music and rescored it for all 3 keyboards.  It took me several weeks to do this project.  Simply because I’ve never done it before.

Then the bride contacted me and said:  "can you make a CD for our reception?"  I’m like "sure".  (open mouth stick foot in syndrome)  I had to come up with all kinds of "love songs" for the CD.  It took me 30 hrs. to do the music and produce the CD.  Yes, I did it myself.  We have a recording booth at church, with the whole soundboard and everything.  My church is live on the radio on Sundays on 1590 WPVL at 9am.
The CD is complete.  I finished last Thursday night.  It has 23 songs on it and will run for 1.5 hrs and then it will be on a loop to continue.

Yesterday my granddaughter Stella had her baptism.  We then had a party for her and a combined welcome home party for one of my family members that is a Special Opps officer that caught Bin Laden.  He is home now for 3 yrs, since he’s been in Afganistan for 3 yrs.  We are so proud of all the men and women that have served our country and help us to keep our freedoms free.  He said we don’t have the foggiest notion of what really goes on over there.  The news doesn’t even come close to telling what takes place.  He said Pray without Ceasing for the Middle East.

Today I will be helping one of the high school girls from church get ready for her graduation party.  She is an artist and is going on for a degree in Art Therapy.  We are putting together a collage of pics on a tri-board.  I have tons of scrapbook stuff and told her I would help her with the projects.  I’ve mentored her since she was a freshman.  I will miss my young lady when she goes off to college.  Praying that God will provide me with another young friend.

Wednesday is the last full practice for all the musicians for the first wedding.  Thursday, my hs friend and I will be going to Dubuque to get table decorations for her party at the Party Outlet.  Friday, 6pm Rehearsal dinner, 7pm Rehearsal.
Saturday-2pm wedding.  Sunday, sunday school, church and then a grad party from 3pm to 7pm..

I think my only time for me this week will be bathroom breaks and sleeping.
