NoJoMo Day 10
We went to Birmingham yesterday evening to watch the Christmas lights being switched on. There was a children’s choir which was really good and then they had the countdown for the lights. They didn’t come on. They tried another countdown. The lights didn’t come on. So they gave up and started the parade. The entire day, the choir, the parade, the fairground rides were all based around the turning on of the Christmas lights and they didn’t even come on.
To accompany the parade, they decided to blast chemical foam ‘snow’ in our faces, which stinks, stings when it gets in your eye and makes you cough. We did see the reindeer and camels though, which is what I went for. We then retired to the pub for drinks and food.
Here are three rubbish photos that I took over the tops of everyone’s heads in the dark.
Reindeer!
Camel!
Metal bird thing!
Today has been pretty relaxing. I watched a film, read a magazine and started some initial reading and note making for my next essay.
