12/31/2009

Hello everyone!

And a very happy New Year to each of you!! I wanted so badly to get on here before Christmas but it was not to be. I still can’t get any computer time. Caren is always working and even when she is not, she has stuff piled all around her desk, etc. and I have to remember and respect the fact that this is her work computer. Sometimes I am amazed at how little I am online compared to just a few months ago when I logged anywhere from 4 to 6 hours every single day. I can’t even say that I miss it except for being able to come here and seeing how everyone is doing. I do miss that for sure.

Well I hope everyone had a good Christmas. Ours was very low key and that was fine. I was able to get Makayla some nice gifts and I got Aimee a Starbucks gift card. That girl loves her iced coffee! LOL. Of course we don’t have Starbucks here, but she goes to the city often enough. I didn’t send any Christmas cards out, I just didn’t have the money. But I certainly appreciate those of you who sent me one. I really do love cards and I got some very pretty ones.

Nothing else new here. We did get some snow the weekend before Christmas. Only about 6 inches but it was very pretty. I’ve got a few pictures of Makayla I will post soon. For the first time I was glad we didn’t live in the city as they got 3 times as much as we did!

Aimee has been feeling really crappy with this pregnancy. Totally exhausted, nauseous all the time and a nasty metallic taste in her mouth, all of which are normal. She is getting ready to go into her 2nd trimester so I’m hoping she will feel better soon.

I really don’t have much else to report. Life is very slow here and can be quite boring. You have to work to keep that from happening. I do wish you all peace, love and good health in 2010. I hope it’s a wonderful year for all us.

I was looking at my friend list today and wondered about you. I was so happy to see your name in lights this morning. So glad everything is going ok and that Christmas was good for you all. I remember being pregnant and it’s nothing I want to repeat. Hopefully she will feel better sooner rather than later. This was the first year I was able to send out Christmas cards. I never had the money before. I hope we are able to hear from you soon.

Oh Ann, so great to see your post!! I am glad things are going well, even if quiet or boring. At least it is NOT crazy awful, hectic. I make my own cards on the puter, and I don’t know if I have your new addy? Wow! I’ve been out of the loop so much in the past two months, I’ve missed what is going on with you. I just went back and read the entries. What a time you have been having! I’m glad Aimee and Makayla are back with you. I know that added to your depression. Another baby… I’m like you – they are all gifts no matter the circumstances. My Nate and Kat are having another one in July. Lillyis going to be a big sister. I hope you find just the house you all need and at the price you can afford. When you have time, could you leave me your new address either on my diary or at grammy2ak@aol.com? I’m trying to update all my friend’s addresses so I can send cards within the next few weeks. I’ve been so bad about it and want to get into the practice again. My prayers are with you, my friend. ((HUGGS))

i’m glad you got a chance to get to the computer and get some time with us. we miss you.

I haven’t sent out Christmas cards for several years due it costing too much. Low key is a better Christmas in my opinion.
