Hi everyone,

I will be posting the next part of my story tomorrow. Be warned though, all future excerpts will be "friends only". If you’re out there lurking and want to read it, let me know.  I started feeling really exposed after posting yesterday’s entry. As a matter of fact, several times I almost got out of bed and made it "private" or "friends only" but I fought the urge. It only gets more personal so I decided to just do "friends only" from here on.

I’m sitting here watching an Eagles concert on VH1. It’s from their "Hell Freezes Over" tour. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love classic rock and I would say that the Eagles were the group who influenced me the most. Or at least they are the ones whose songs invoke the most memories. Their songs are simple and easy to listen to and you can understand all the words and sing along with every song. How can you not love "Tequila Sunrise", "Best of My Love", "Desperado", "Lyin Eyes" and "Hotel California" just to name a few. Hell "Life in the Fast Lane" was my life for a few years LOL.  I also loved their version of "Please Come Home for Christmas". Okay enough about their songs. I’m tired of all these quotation marks!

I never felt thought of the band members very attractive till years later. Don Henley has a certain sexiness about him and I love his voice. I remember a few years ago when Glenn Frey did some kind of commercial for fitness, a gym or something. He had his shirt off and his catch phrase was something like ‘from hard rock to rock hard’. OOOOHHHH yeah baby! He is a fine looking man!

We had steak for dinner tonight. Aimee cooked it with some spices and fresh sautéed mushrooms and it was delicious. We also had salad and Parmesan spinach noodles. She is turning into quite a good cook. She didn’t get it from me. I really do not like to cook. I much prefer being on clean up duty!  I mean I occasionally get the urge to cook one of the dishes that I know I cook well, but other than that, no thanks.

Have any of you watched the show "Hoarders" (damn quotes again!) on TLC? Wow. It is unbelievable how these people live. It’s really very sad because you can see how traumatizing it is for them to throw stuff away. To the point of living in filth and totally unsanitary conditions, some of them even losing their spouses or having their children taken away from them. Thank God that is one mental illness I don’t have! If anything I’m the opposite. I used to save everything but the older I get the more I am into getting rid of stuff. Not counting the furniture or my clothes, I bet I could pack my entire room up in one good-sized box.

Well I guess that’s all I’ve got for tonight. I think I’ll post the lyrics to "Life in the Fast Lane" for old times sake. Goodnight all. ((((HUGS)))))

LIFE IN THE FAST LANE

Eagles

He was a hard-headed man he was brutally handsome
And she was terminally pretty
She held him up and he held for ransom
In the heart of the cold, cold city
He had a nasty reputation as a cruel dude
They said he was ruthless said he was crude
They had one thing in common
They were good in bed
She said, faster, faster.
the lights are turning red.

Life in the fast lane
Surely make you lose your mind
Life in the fast lane

Are you with me so far?

Eager for action hot for the game
The calling attraction the drop of the name
They knew all the right people
They took all the right pills
They threw outrageous parties
They paid heavenly bills
There were lines on the mirror, lines on her face
She pretended not to notice she was caught up in the race
Out every evening until it was light
He was too tired to make it she was too tired to fight about it

Life in the fast lane
Surely make you lose your mind
Life in the fast lane
Life in the fast lane
Everything all the time
Life in the fast lane

Glowing and burning blinded by thirst
They didnt see the stop sign
Took a turn for the worse
She said, listen baby. you can hear the engine rev.
weve up and down this highway, havent seen a goddamn thing.
He said, call the doctor. I think Im gonna crash.
the doctor say hes coming but you gotta pay in cash.
They were rushing down that freeway,
Messed around and got lost
They didnt care they were just dieing to get off and it was

Life in the fast lane
Surely make you lose your mind
Life in the fast lane
Life in the fast lane
Everything all the time
Life in the fast lane

Life in the fast lane
Life in the fast lane

Sorry that I didn’t note on yesterday’s entry. I am looking forward to reading more of your story. Despite the fact that I wasn’t really overweight, I thought that I was so I can relate to some of what you write and the jealousy, plus clothing didn’t fit because of my height and the fact that my waist is very small in comparison to my hips. Anyway I didn’t mean to get on about me. HUG

I am now rockin to the Eagles in my head! TY

I love the Eagles! The Hell Freezes Over thing is one of my favorites of all time, because it puts so many years into one album. xxoo

I do not know if I am on your “friends only” list or not, but I enjoy hanging out with you!

I saw that concert on VH1, too!

I too, liked the Eagles. Yes, I have watched “Hoarders” 2 times now. I almost weep. I look around my bedroom, and wonder, if I have a tad bit of a problem? They said is a “gene” issue or something. It’s a real condition!!! I am a pack rat, but, once Shanny has this baby, I am getting my butt in gear and cleaning good in here!!! They also said, these pple get emotionally attached to their possessions, and I do this, too!!!! Especially, IF it is from one of my family members. BigHugzzz… :*))

I love the Eagles!

I LOVE the Eagle’s Hell Freezes Over. You have excellent taste in music. Yes, make your personal entries friends only. You will feel more comfortable that way.

Im with The Good Witch, seven bridges road is one of my all time faves. Ill have to read the past and future entry another day.

I’d like to continue to read your entries if that’s okay with you. I’ve just been away for a couple days due to computer issues. 🙂

The phone I got is StraightTalk. I got the one with the internet connection for surfing a small bit on it. With the exception of it not working for a few days I’m pretty happy with it at least right now 🙂 I did the 1000 minutes/1000 texts for a month. When my phone was acting up I did another search and found another prepaid phone called pageplus. Its about the same in cost. My phone is just like one on their page but theirs have longer battery life and games on the cell. If I had found this first I would have probably tried it. You can find it here if interested: http://www.pagepluscellular.com/

I don’t know what is going on because I’ve been so caught up with my older son. I’ll read back…if it is still there.
