Oh darn it!

Just when I was about to reach down into the very depths of my soul and bring forth all my secret thoughts, my desktop craps out on me!

I’ve (we’ve) have had the worst luck with electronics and appliances since moving here. The dishwasher broke (after leaking all down in the neighbor’s ceiling), our garbage disposal kept backing up, our toilet had to have a part replaced (and until it was you had to reach into the ice cold water of the tank to manually flush it – I mean you know the water in the tank is clean but there is still something very yucky about having to do this), my laptop has a continually worsening cracked screen, our modem had to be replaced, and now my good old desktop that I recent retrieved from my brother-in-law has a broken monitor.

So I am currently using the laptop which is pretty much like looking into a funhouse mirror at the carnival. I can’t stand it for very long as it gives me a headache but it’s all I’ve got right now.

So my OD time will probably decrease, once again, until I win the lottery or figure out another way to solve this situation. I will still be here and I will update but I suspect not very often. Please take care until I can come back for real for real. ((((HUGS))))

RYN: Yeah, it’s a tad ‘austere’ for my tastes, but now that I’ve had what I didn’t want (twice) I now know what I DO want and how to go about getting it. Funny how that works in SO many areas of life . . . 🙂 P.S. Thanks for your honesty and not just ‘patting me on the head’ to keep from hurting my feelings! 🙂

I have an extra computer tower and screen. But the monitor would cost more to ship that to buy a new one. Check out Good Will. I actually bought that one from there. It cost $10. I wouldn’t buy a computer from there but the monitor works just fine. There is a place here that fixes broken lap top screens. I have no idea how much it costs. I hope you can get it worked out. I’m so sorry to hear about all of your troubles with electronics and appliances. I had to go through the toilet thing, and yes, even though that water is clean, there is still something gross about reaching into the toilet tank to flush the toilet!

Oh no! Our power strip crapped out and we couldn’t get online, so I spent Easter weekend pacing like a caged animal. Good luck! ryn: Thank you, dear friend. I discovered I had you on Bookmarks but not Friends – not sure how that happened, but that would be why you hadn’t seen them.
