Keep On Keepin’ On

This child.  I swear.  I don’t know if I wrote about this before, so you might be reading it a second time.

Lily has known how to turn herself in a 360 degree circle for some time now.  Add to this phenomenon that she can roll over and what do you get?  She’s figured out that she can get wherever she wants by rolling and turning.  I am -not- read for this child to be mobile.  Pardon me, she’s trying to get herself stuck under the couch right now.  Okay.  That’s dealt with for about 5 minutes.  She is one tiny epiphany away from being able to "army crawl."  I dread the day.  We really need to make sure we’re child proofed.

In other news, she can make the "ba" noise now.  She does the occasional "mmmm" or "ma," but mostly she goes "babababababa" and it is the cutest thing ever.

The dog is at the vet right now.  He’s been super lethargic since last night.  He didn’t sleep in the bed with us.  He didn’t touch his food.  He wasn’t excited for his walk this morning.  In fact, he just stopped walking and sat down  and trembled about 1/3 of the way through.  Brett had to carry him back upstairs.  The vet didn’t have an appointment, but had me bring him in and they’d squeeze in an exam as soon as they could.  I love our vet.  Of course, as soon as we got there, Sprocket was all over the place.  Typical dog.  At least the vet tech mentioned that it wasn’t unusual for pets to do that (the not acting sick once they get to the vet).

Did I mention that we’re going to GA at the end of December?  I think I might have.  The tickets are booked, days off are requested.  It will be my first time back in GA since I got married in 2009.  I’m looking forward to seeing Mike E and Denise again.  It’s been a loooong while.  I might call up Mike K, too, but we’ll see.  The first thing I am going to do is go to WAFFLE HOUSE!  There are NO Waffle or Huddle Houses up here.  It kills me that I have to go to Denny’s or Perkin’s and have their sub-par hashbrowns with their gross cheddar cheese.  A slice of American, please.

Okay, that’s all I’ve got.  And if I don’t get a chance to write again, Happy Thanksgiving, y’all.

I know Waffle House, but I’ve never heard of Huddle House. Either way, we don’t have either up here. My cousin-in-law’s wife is from Alabama, and she almost went into shock when she moved up here and realized there were no Waffle Houses. Poor girl. Go Lily! At least she’s not asking to borrow your car yet. ^_^

Oh no on Lily starting to be mobile. Lol Man.. it’s been that long since you guys got married?! Why does it not seem that long to me? 🙂 And yay on going back to GA! Hope you have a good trip and Happy Thanksgiving. 🙂 Also.. the waffle houses around here are becoming sub-par. :/ My Mom use to love them and her and the stepdad refuse to go to them anymore.

Whaaaaa, no waffle house? I swear, I know of 5 or 6 off the top of my head in my town 🙂 I hope Sprocket is okay. I was SO EXCITED for C & L both to be mobile and now I realllly miss the days when I could put L on the floor with his toys and have him stay in one place. omg, the crawling, pulling up, knocking stuff over… my poor scarecrows and pumpkin decorations on the tv stand have been tossed around so many times. lol

I miss waffle houses here, too. I don’t get it! And yeesh, mobile babies are crazy. Just wait until she figures out stairs- if you have any. If not…well, lucky ducks. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

I luv Waffle House! You know, Eric and I were talking last night that we have never ordered a waffle from the Waffle House. Not to be rude, but I so see Lily doing the 3 Stooges floor spin in my head.

Oh boy…. have you tried a baby chair or something to trap her?? I bought a few days with one with Josh. Any luck with December 1 for a sitter? or someone watching Sprocket?

I actually just passed a Huddle House for the first time (that I’ve noticed, at least) the other day when we went to West Virginia. We do have Waffle Houses up here, but they’re sparse. I think I’ve only been to one, once…maybe twice. Have fun on your trip! How exciting! Good luck with Lily, lol. Once she starts walking, you’re really in for it! haha.
