Holy Frick Part 3

I’m torn about all of this. After reading the articles about what was going on with Director that caused him to get fired, I don’t know if I consider him a pedophile.

Yes, the boy was 14. However, he lied about his age and his name to both Director and Other City Cop. Both of them are being charged, by the way. OCC tried numerous times to verify the boy’s age, but, because of the fake name, obviously he couldn’t. Both of these men thought they were having consensual sex with someone of legal age.

On the other hand, if you have doubts about someone’s age, don’t have sex with them! I mean, COME ON. A statutory rape charge will get you branded as a sex offender for life!

The broken part of me wants to take my baby and retreat into a hole to keep her safe from all the bad men (and women) in the world. I never want her to go through what I did. And I swear, here and now, I will fuck up anyone that tries to molest my baby girl.

The mother in me realizes the need for Lily to have friends and be social and not live like a hermit, but will still never fully trust more than a handful of people with my Pumpkin. And she will still fuck a bitch (or bastard) up if they try to touch my girl.

Some other part of me, though, wonders how much is the boy’s fault and wonders whether the two men should have to register as sex offenders for life because they made a mistake. They didn’t go out to try to have sex with a child. They were duped. They were stupid, but they were duped.

And the mother and broken parts want to rip the other part to shreds for thinking that. *sigh*

I wish I had known this before my appointment with Carol this morning so we could have gone into coping with this a little more. Oh well, just 3 more weeks until I see her again.

You know what, though? I don’t feel bad for them. 14 is a long ways off from 18 and even if the boy LOOKED older, they were still having sex with someone who they ‘thought’ was just barely legal. Still skeezy & gross in my opinion, unless the music director is like 20 years old.

I think the acceptable age difference gap goes up as the younger person in the relationship ages. I don’t know, it’s less about actual numbers for me and more about equal life experience and being on the same page. I think once you hit your mid twenties the age gap really stops being an issue in a relationship. I still balk at a 40 or 50 year old trying to get with an 18 year old though.

I would turn Brad Pitt down because I can’t get over the fact that he is old enough to be my father. And he is smokin’ hot AND rich. LOL SO maybe that’s the point an age gap becomes creepy- if the other person is old enough to have been your mother or father.

but how can a 14 year old pass for an 18 year old? surely there would have been some type of … emotional & mature disconnect? idk. & i hear ya. i hear ya loud & clear on the protecting your baby front. but you know that.
