5 Months Later
Lily is 5 months old today. She’s come a long way from being wrapped up in a blanket and sleeping all day. But I won’t go into details because, frankly, I don’t want to.
In other news, I am medicated again and things have been wonderful. It’s still a very low dose of two meds, but I think it’s perfect for me because it makes me feel more even kiltered.
Work has been work. Sometimes I miss working 40 hours a week – especially when Lily has a bad day when I’m home with her. And other times, I couldn’t be happier that I went to 3 days a week. I get to watch her grow up and I get to be there for her milestones instead of hearing about them from someone else. I don’t think I could handle being home all the time, though. I’d go crazy.
I’m back in the church choir and they have child care now on practice nights, so I can take Lily along and give Brett a little time for himself. It’s just two hours, but it’s two hours more than he had before. I do make sure to get some time for me, too. I went to the symphony with Mandi last weekend. While I didn’t particularly love the pieces they played, the time spent with friends is great. And Brett and I make sure to take some time for ourselves once in a while, too. Mandi is more than happy to take Lily for an hour or three so Brett and I can go out to eat or get some things done around the house.
Ha, it kind of sounds like I’m never with Lily. Trust me, I spend a lot of time with her. The best thing, though, is seeing her face light up the first time she sees me in the morning or after she comes home from daycare. She does the same with Brett (times three!). She is -such- a daddy’s girl.
On a different note: my sister has started making things to sell. She just does it directly from her FB page: Darling Designs.
I am definitely getting one of these. She hand drew and then painted all of the images on the doors. And it’s customizable, so you can pick colors or get names on the tags on the presents or a different toy at the bott
Getting one of these, too.
She’s also got hairbows and headbands up that her friend made. And a few baby things. She’s just getting started with it, so stuff is kind of limited, but I think she’ll do well with it as long as she can get the word out. Which is what I’m doing here. That Advant calendar is $35, though she has a different one for less. The cookie tray … $12!!! So … you know … check her out, like her page. Whatever. 🙂

Those are cute. I wish I had time to make things like that, not even to sell, just for me, haha. Glad all is well!

Wow, your sister is talented. Those pieces are adorable! Five months already? Wow, Lily’s a big girl. Hopefully you three are hitting your stride as a family. Getting out of the house for fun things like choir helps! ^_^
