Some good news

Hey everyone,

    I just know you are all dying to find out about my personal life, so I will give it to you J. In all honesty not too much is happening. Last week was rather typical of going to work and coming home. We learned on Thursday that my husband got a promotion and so is not the Heart of House Training Coordinator for the Naperville store, long title I know. Basically it will add a few more responsibilities, he will have some higher pay when he isn’t serving, and is basically one step away from being able to become a manager when a position would open up. From what I gather he is really looking forward to taking on this new post and working his way up the ladder. He is a very hard worker and I don’t think that he will do any less with this job.

  I got to then head home for Easter. I left after work on Friday, Corey didn’t get to come with me because he was having to work, so it was just me. We got a pretty decent snow storm on Friday so I ended up leaving work a couple hours earlier so that I could get on the road and not have to drive in the dark with the storm. I got home in about 2 ½- 3 hours, where I arrived to a nice pan of tuna casserole for dinner, yumm. My parents and I then headed out to the Moose for an evening of basketball, gambling, drinks and company. It was a lot of fun, I can never complain that my parents are fun people to hang out with because they really are down to earth for the most part. We finally made it home shortly after midnight.

  My father had to get up rather early to take my sisters car to the maintenance shop to have it check out, because one of the tires looked like it was leaning in too much. So after he dropped it off he called me and I met him for breakfast down the road. After breakfast we headed to Menards to look at trim, stain and screws to help with the bookcases. Afterwards we headed home to get to work. We worked on the bookcases all afternoon up until we had to head to dinner and then church. We pretty much got the frame put together and glued. I did take a break to run my dad to get my sisters car and to have lunch with an ex-boyfriend/ good friend of mine. I met him at Wings Etc. and we just chit chatted and caught up. He was a favorite of my sisters and my mothers when I was dating him. He was going to take me to show me around his work but when we got there he found out someone else set up another charter for them to have and so he needed to get to work on the paper work. I just told him another time and the next time I come home we will have to get together again. Eric was a great guy, but didn’t really want to be tied into a relationship when we headed off to college, even though we would have only been 2 hours apart. I then came home finished working on what we could of the basic parts of the bookcases, got ready for dinner and church. After we were done with dinner and church my father and I came home and tried to cut some of the shelves to the appropriate size, however, we managed to cut the first set ½ an inch too short, my father was pissed, I wasn’t worried, it just set us behind a little. We then got the other 4 cut and called it a night so that way we didn’t mess it up anymore.

   We woke up again early on Sunday to go out and get a few new boards to redo the shelves we messed up the night before, try to find a closer stain color since the original I bought looked really purple. Then we got the idea to mix colors so we got a container to mix the two and see what we come up with. We then had to get eggs and milk for my mom. We finally headed home to get back to work on the bookcases. We got the rest of the shelves cut, the backs cut and put on the book cases. Afterwards we then started sanding the shelves, we got 4 of them finished before we had to start cleaning up for dinner where we had guests coming over. After everyone left I finished sanding the other shelves, we then got the trim on the bookcases, sanded the rest of the bookcases so everything lined up and was smooth. We then started to mix the colors to see what we could come up with. I then had to start getting ready to head out. We hadn’t perfected the color before I left, but I trust my father will get it right, he is going to work on the pre-staining, staining and sealing this week so that hopefully they will be ready to bring up next weekend. I wish I were getting to help, but that would push it back another month before I would get them. I really needed one more weekend of going home to get them done.

    Not too much went on yesterday, just worked at both jobs and then headed home. However, I finally got ahold of the doctor, they had called me and I tried calling back and so basically we were playing phone tag. They wanted to call and tell me that they got my records from my previous doctor, my pap test results, and then to talk about the survey I filled out. My pap came back a little abnormal, but they said they were going to try another test to see if it just a fluke or if there is something we should worry about, but for now she says not to worry and that most likely it was just this one time kind of thing. They also noticed that there were some tests they wanted to do, but wasn’t sure if my previous doctor had done them so they found out when they got my records they weren’t all done so they want me to come in and have some more blood work done. They are wanting to test a few different hormone levels, testosterone and progesterone I

think were the two as well as to find out if I am A+/- what my rh factor is, since I don’t know. So I get to go in tomorrow to have the blood taken out and I should know within two weeks all the results. I am not worried, but I just hate waiting to find out information like this. Though there was good news yesterday, not from the doctor, but rather from my body, I started my period, granite it is a month and a half later then it should be but it did come and without the help of any medications. Which also means that at some point I ovulated, so there is still hope. I am so excited that it started and knowing that it did so on its own, however, now that it is here I already want it to leave.

    Not too much is happening today, I hope after work to go run/walk, but we will see how work goes. I was possibly going to meet up for lunch with my husband, but I am not sure that he slept well and so I think he is still sleeping right now. All well. Hope all is well with everyone.
