Need a new name and what has been going on.

Hey everyone,

   Not too much going on here, enjoying the new work place. The people here are great. We watched Wild Hogs both Tuesday and Wed. of last week, then I was also invited to join along in going to the bar Wed. night to watch the Cubs game with some of them. It was a blast getting to go out and talk with people. Most here are at least 5 years older then me, if not more. Most are married and a few have kids. But it doesn’t seem like there is a difference. Thursday was rather calm. Then Friday for lunch I was invited to go along to lunch with everyone to give a farewell to one of the people that worked here, Nik. He apperantly is headed to a firm downtown. We ended up going to Flat Top Grill, which is a favorite of mine these days. Getting to go out with them all has been fun. We never did anything really like this with my old firms. There are already plans for a Holloween party on the Sat. before at Nghia’s (pronouced like Knee) place. I also know that they do a company Christmas party as well. I think I am really going to grow here in the profession as well. Everyone is helpful when I as questions, but it really hasn’t been too hard of a switch. Over the weekend, my husband did a lot of working, so I stayed home and did stuff. We ended up going out to the mall in Lombard for some more minatures and had dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise. It is always nice to get out and have dinner with my hubby :). Afterwards we headed home and played our first full game with our minatures, it was long and fun, despite I lost. Then to bed for some much needed rest and also some great sex as well. Sunday my hubby didn’t have to go in till later so we just stayed around the house and he watched football and I worked on some pictures. I still had half a box of pics from when I used a 35 mm camera to scan in. I finished editing the first half that were already scanned in and then turned my attention to scanning the other half. There were 149 scans, and I really did it more times then that because the computer went down for a smidge and I lost several scans, each scan had at least 3-4 pics on them. I think my total ended up at like 560 pics scanned in. I got done with this around 11:17 and then took a shower so I could go to bed. It was a long process and it has only begun. Now I will have to sit and edit each of these, seperate the photos, create folders and file them to their appropriate place. Then I will go back to all the photos, first and second half and put them in my snapfish account. At least I have kept them all pretty well labeled in my box so the filling them later is really easy. It will also give me freedom to scrap all these photos knowing that I have a digital backup.

I have then agreed to do this photo archiving for my mother and her photos. OMG, what was I thinking. She has no previous organization method so it is a jumble of pics put into a box. I sat down over the weekend and tried to seperate them to the best of my ability. Luckily most of my moms pics have dates in the corner, but her camera isn’t always right. Later I will put them in chronicalogical order, scan, edit, file them away into folders and give her her box back, give her a digital copy and then she will be able to do what she wants, whether that is to put them all in photo albums or leave them in the box. The only reason why I agreed to do this is because I hate to see them a mess and it gives me a chance to get a copy of all the pics for myself as well. Ha ha there is an alterior motive.

Ok, so I need a new name, I am no longer The New Mrs. S. Any ideas? Well, I had better get back to work. Hope you all are having a great day!!
