Ironic

Hey everyone,

      I will have to be back with pictures from Miami, I have just been so busy lately since I took on being the president of my Alumnae chapter, I have had so many ideas that I have to get down on paper or done so that I don’t forget them. Lately I have been working on our website for the chapter. All that we had before was a one page deal just stating what events were going on and when. I feel there should be much more to that so that people are always informed on everything past, present and future. Also it gives those looking us up more information on how to get a hold of us and what we like to do and what our history is. I have loved creating the website and hope to get it finished in the next week or so. I will post a link later so you can all see what I worked so hard on. I have also been compiling all the names and e-mails to start contacting everyone in the area. In the next few weeks I am going to start calling like 10 or so people a night to see if they are interested in joining or learning more information about the chapter, get an update on their information and see if they have e-mail and if so get it and then I can contact them that way in the future. But enought about that.

   Today has been rather interesting. My husband catered an event last night and thought that he over heard a conversation about a grand convention in Miami and that they didn’t make it, so he comes home and tells me that he thinks there were Thetas at the event. So today he goes back to get the stuff that was left behind and sure enough the host lady was wearing a Theta shirt, my husband said that I was a Theta and gave her my information so that she can get with me about joining the chapter, how exciting it was to hear. Later today I was talking to a representative that came in to update our library and show me some new products and he was saying how they has just put a certain project in at the Moose Lodge in Downer’s Grove, I was like there is a Moose Lodge in Downer’s Grove? My parents are Moose members in Elkhart and he was like yeah there is one around here and it is a large one. He then told me that he would get me information about becoming a member at the Moose Heart which is the national headquarters of the Moose Lodge, so I would be like a member of all the lodges, though it doesn’t really give you anything other then the title of member of Moose Heart, but still cool. Then I headed to the gym tonight and did a swimming workout. After I finished I went to change and as I was changing a young lady comes in and was wearing a Elkhart Central t-shirt. Well, I was like I went to Elkhart Memorial, which Elkhart Central and Elkhart Memorial are cross town rivals, and she was like really. I was like yeah, it is so awesome to see someone from my hometown once in a while, even if I don’t know them. Basically I can talk about it and she knew where I was talking about. It was just ironic how many things really fit in today. First a Theta, then a moose member, and finally a hometown girl, too cool for me.

Well, I had better go, I am finally all caught up with sleep and I would like to keep it that way. I will be back at some point with pics from Miami, if anything it will be after the holiday and then I will have two large photo entries. Have a great evening and day tomorrow.
