Goals
Hey Everyone,
Sorry I have been slacking in the writing and the noting departments. I have been busy and trying to stay busy as much as possible so as to not just sit around. I thought I would share with you my goals that I plan to achive this year. I don’t do resolutions, but rather goals to achive, I find they are much easier to keep and not so burdensome if it gets broken because you can just pick it right back up. So here goes.
Goals for 2008:
1. Lose 40 pounds by the end of May. That is roughly 2 lbs a week, which is the safe amount recommended.
2. Excersice everyday, even if just 30 minutes run in place in front of my tv
3. Eat healthier, but more importantly watch how much I eat.
4. Hopefully be blessed with a child.
5. Work on my relationship with my husband, mostly in the romance department.
6. Work on writing everyday or at least noting everytime that I read.
7. Work on getting more out of debt, we have already started this, and are going on a stricter budget starting in Feb.
So there you have it. Those are my current goals and the list gets longer as time goes on. The weight is the biggest. I am just not healthy for my size anymore. I am not happy with how I look and feel. This is yes part vanity, but mostly health. I want a child but my body right now is not condusive to it. I think I am going to start writing in here everyday to keep track of what I eat, how much I eat, what excersises I did and how much. This way maybe you all could help me stay on track and also I will have a record of what I have been doing. I do keep track also on Sparkpeople.com, which is a great site. It gives meal plans, if you chose to use them, exercise plans, recipies and lots of tools to help you learn what you need to do and how to achieve it. I just also thought that writing it here will make me even more accountable and then I will also have others to point out tips that they know have worked. I am not dieting, I am just modifing how much and what I eat. I have tried to go to whole grain bread, whole grain pasta, brown rice, more fruits and veggies (though I have never had a problem with this one), less sweets (also not a huge problem for me) and then of course at least resitance training 3 times a week, and cardio 4 times a week.
So, I ask you to help me with achieving my goals. If I am not writing, not informing you what I am eating or doing let me know, I want all the feedback I can get. The more I get motivated the better chance I have to achieve my goal. You don’t have to do this if you don’t want. Which then you would just skip anything I label as such. I am just one of those people that likes to do things in groups and sometimes needs help staying motivated, so this will hopefully help me. And if you want to also join me in doing goal and wanting someone to keep you accountable, I am all willing to try and help. Here are the nutritional goals that are set for me. I will try and post these small tidbits anytime that I do an entry of my goal reaching.
Nutritional:
Calories: 1200-1550 grams
Fat: 32-56 grams
Carbohydrates: 163-326 grams
Protien: 60-127 grams
Calcium: 100-150 mg
Iron: 100-150 mg
Water: 8 glasses a day
Track Calories
Fitness:
Strength Training: Mon., Wed., Fri.
Cardio: Tues., Thurs., Sat., Sun.- 180mins/week, 1360 calories burned/week
Stretch before and after
Get an extra 10 mins cardio everyday
Other:
Take vitamin everyday
