End Of May Already
Hello Everyone,
I can’t believe that it is almost the end of May already, it seems like we just started it the other day, wow. Sorry I haven’t really been on lately, it seems like summer hits and man the schedule goes haywire and I don’t have kids yet. On that front my husband and I are trying more and more to have a child. My body seems to want to cooperate more these days and without the help of medication, I have now had two periods in a row with no medication. This makes us happy and we go over our financial plans more and more to start saving for both a house and child. We would love to be able to move to a house by June of next year, but we will have to see how our saving goes. As far as things that have been going on lately not too much, but a lot at the same time. Our day to day schedules are pretty much the same as always, get up, go to work, come home, have dinner and then either clean or relax for the night. Once in a while we will throw in a change as far as going out to dinner. The month of May has really been a stay at home month for the most part. But a brief run down of the few events that have gone on:
I planned and sceduled twp lunch and learns for the company and they went off without a hitch. That is always good, shows that I am embracing my new role as the lunch and learn coordinator well.
Was invited to a good friend of mines baby shower and decided last minute that I was going to make a First Year Baby Album for her. Some of you got my pleas for help on if this is what I should do and thought someone would like it. Thanks for all the notes and ideas of where to go to look for layouts. The book was completed on time, a little over the budget I wanted but all well. She ended up loving the book and I will have pictures to show once I get my camera in the mail, since I left it at my parents house. There ended up being 60 scrapped pages to this album, some were very simple and others a little more complex, but it looked great and all she has to do is put the appropriate size picture in its place and add some words of her choice to the journaling boxes.
Over Memorial Day weekend I went to the family farm and enjoyed a couple days of camping. We ended up sleeping there one night but we were up at the farm a few days. I of course loved every minute of it and can’t wait to go back up on the 4th of July. I didn’t get any pictures from the weekend at the farm this time, but I know I will have plenty to share after the 4th. Sat. was the baby shower, which was fun. I got to see some old friends and meet some new ones as well. Sunday my husband and I joined my sister, Nic and Mike for the Indy 500. We woke up bright and early to get down to the race by 1pm. It was a very full car but we managed to make it there ok. I ended up getting really sunburnt. No I didn’t put sun screen on, well at least not early enough. My nose is the worst part and it is bad, it was already blistered and peeled that by the end of the night. Needless to say it is still really red and sore now. Everywhere else is already calmed down and started peeling if it is going to. Monday we did a little shopping around town before meeting up with my parents to go to trivia. We went to Between the Buns, a local bar and grill and did the Triva game night with my parents, Ann Marie and Cal. It was a lot of fun and we came in first place. Apperantly my parents group they have is very good, they went to the championships and unfornuately had some misshaps with one of the team mates not wanting to listen to the other members before turning in the sheet and so they got a few really large questions wrong. But they still had fun. I love that I can still go out and do things with my parents, they are just pretty down to earth as much as I hate to admit that sometimes. We then drove back to Illinois.
This week not too much has gone on at all. Lots of work and cleaning around the house. We finally finished up the decorations in the living room because we got the sconces from my mothers candle party and they are not put up and look great. We also now have started on redoing the bathroom for a more summer look. My husband ended up getting a quartly bonus this year, we aren’t sure if he is going to get it all the time because it normally only goes to managers and he isn’t a manager, but we are enjoying the fact that he at least got it this time. We ended up finally seeing Prince Caspian last night, and I loved it. I am really enjoying the job they are doing on these. I have read all seven of the books in this series and enjoyed them imensley (sp?), so I am glad they are depicting them well. C.S. Lewis is an amazing writer.
Well, I think that catches my events up, now if only I could get everything on my camera uploaded I could do a nice picture update as well. I know I still owe some from a while back, but they all need to get onto snapfish. I have tried to catch up on some notes of others, now that my major project with the album is done I should hopefully be able to keep up. Thanks for the patience. Have a wonderful day!!
