A little catching up to do

Hey everyone,

Thank you for all the well wishes. I am feeling much better and it really only took me about a day to recover once I had the medication from the doctor. I absolutely hate being sick, but it is part of life, luckily I don’t get sick often. Lots has been going on here in the way of small things, and a few larger ones.

Friday was a snow day for many people here in the Chicago area. We got anywere from 10-12 inches of snow in one night. Many of my co-workers called in saying they were working from home. I knew I needed to get in since I had been out so much from being sick. I got out and tried to clear the path to get my car out, thanks to the plows I had at least 18" of snow behind my car. Well, I got my car 3/4 of the way out and I got stuck, I tried for a while and just couldn’t get it out. I then had to go inside and wake my husband. Needless to say he eventually helped me get it out and I drove slowly to work to make sure I didn’t get stuck again. Only 10 people made it into work, there are normally about 24 of us, so the boss took those of us that made it in out to lunch. It was a great time getting to talk to everyone and be relaxed. I finished out the day and headed to the scrapbook store, since I had been sick I had switched a few days with others so that way I could still have hours. I worked till midnight, I did a little rearranging, some stocking and then some talking with those that were there for the crop. Finally I got to go home and crash.

Sat. I was up and about by 9:30 to go back to the scrapbooking store to work at 10am, I was there till 5pm. Nothing too big happened, just my typical talking and helping customers. I finally got out of the store at 6pm when Karen came because no one was scheduled for the night hours, we are a little short handed on the weekends. My husband and I then ran to Meijer to get some food for Sunday’s game time and get a newspaper to look at the ads. We fliped through the ads and noticed that Circuit City was going to have the Wii in stock on Sunday, well at least 1. I eventually went to bed, I have still felt a little tired from being sick. I wake at 6:30 in the morning to find my husband was no where to be found. Normally I can go out to the living room or the second bedroom and find him sleeping with his book in hand, but he wasn’t there. I then noticed that my phone was gone, my husband has lost his, and so I called my phone. My husband answers telling me that he is at Circuit City waiting to get in line for the Wii, he had been their since 3:45 am.

Finally at 8 am he got a voucher and we were on out way to becoming a proud owner of the Wii gaming system. He then came home after and we took a refreshing shower together. We did a few errands, got the Wii from Circuit City, looked around for a few games and a second controller. I was just happy to have the system. We then went home, cleaned the apartment and set up the Wii. We love it. I love bowling and so does my husband so we have been bowling everyday since we got it, I hate to know how many games I played last night, though I can tell my arm is tired. We then watched the game where I about cried at the end, my beloved patriots lost, all well, just a game. The comercials though were disappointing.

Yesterday, I weighed myself in the morning, I knew I probably won’t have lost much seeing as I was sick so I was eating anything to keep my strength up and that includes calorie packed sprite. However, in total I am now down 5.5 lbs in 4 weeks. I am so happy. Hopefully I can keep up the weight loss. Now that we have the Wii I will definately be moving around more while playing the games. I also can’t wait for the Wii Fit game/program that they have coming out this year. I am doing really well on what I eat, now that I am not sick anymore, so I should be back in the groove of losing weight soon. Once I hit 10 lbs I am getting a new hair cut and color, that is my reward.

Sorry I still haven’t posted any pics, but we are working on our computer and getting it cleaned up. It has been running really slow and being annoying so, we are condensing our stuff and sticking some on the external drive. Then I will run a full system restore to get it rid of unecessary programs. Then I should be able to put my pictures on the computer and then snapfish to share with you all.

Hope all is well with everyone, I am trying to do some catch up but it hasn’t worked with me being as busy as I have and the computer being crappy. Have a great day!!

Happy Fat Tuesday!!!
