Not a happy mommy…

Well i knew the time would come but not this soon….i am putting princess Gianna in Daycare! Yes you heard right, day care. What happend you ask?? Well at first my MIL would literaly cry to me and say ” when are you getting preganant?..i want a give my job a reason to quit!” Ok, so once Gianna was here she said ” well i can’t take care of here all week, but i can do three days till Jan. and then i’ll quit completly. OK so Jan rolled around and she said ” Oh no, with this whole economy thing happening i can’t quit now!”. So since Jan, i have had her, my FIL, my hubby and a nanny take care of Gianna. Why so many people..well the nanny can only take care of her till 3:00 ( she takes care of her at my MIL house) when she leaves either my FIL or hubby take care of her. Honestly i didn’t feel 100% comfortable with FIl taking care of her. Yes he loves her more than anything but i don’t think he’s qualified to do it. And slowly my MIL went from taking care of her three days a week, to two days, to one day, to none!! I think we had enough…
There is a Daycare center a few blocks from our house which was recommended to my hubby by a coworker. I called the place and taked to the owner. She faxed me their info ( it looks promising) I am going about 5 pm today to interview the lady and if things go well i am going to start taking Gianna there Monday.
I am scared to death abou the whole thing, but i think it’s for the best. I think my MIL was all talk and really didn’t want to do it. She better not come around later and ask to see Gianna soon…i will remind her that she had her chance!
Anyway i have gone online and have done a background check on the place and have a list of questions to ask the lady. Also i feel very good about the fact that they have webcams in which i can see Gianna at anytime.
I hope it all works out well..please say a little prayer for us 🙂

I was in the exact same boat with my MIL. Then when the time came she actually told us she didnt want to *raise* my kids. Like thats what we were asking!! Good luck with the interview of the day care!

I will say some prayers for you. It’s scary to think of putting your baby in the hands of strangers but think of it this way…taking good care of your child is their main goal. They wouldn’t still be in business if they weren’t able to do that. Gianna will really like it as she gets older because she’ll have interaction with all the kids 🙂
