to go, ooor not.

it’s snowing.

not as hard as it was earlier. we got a few inches. i’d rather it snow than just be cold because, what’s the point? i know i was just praying for spring and all, but despite my years in charlotte i’m not delusional. i couldn’t hope for much out of buffalo in january. the sunny days we had were nice, though. i kinda miss them. being snowed in isn’t as fun when you can’t just snuggle up with hot chocolate and watch movies. i still have to chase my little ankle biter around 🙂

this morning i was so creatively…….hmm, what. frustrated? overwhelmed? underwhelmed? constipated?
all of the above. that probably makes no sense. but it does to me.

i kind of sat there, sifting through my creative options (i’m limited until my orders come in and it doesn’t seem like either of them have even processed yet, let alone shipped). nothing i tried to do came out right so i ended up doing nothing. and wasting a perfectly good nap. as in, luke’s nap. aka, my free time. 

for his second nap (which i think may be ending…..i’m hearing kicks), i decided to say whatever, revert back to the old way of doing things (as in without a cricut) and do something crafty. i really wanted to scrapbook, but i knew it would end up being crap because i’d try too hard to make up for the lack of cricut. so instead i went with making matt’s v-day card. (the next card on my list was actually a b-day card, but i neeeeed the cricut for that). i had this grand idea that actually came from a very unoriginal kindergarten-type project, but i just had a vision of how to update it. i really had no clue how i was going to do it…..but i just sat down and started working. i ended up loving it so much as soon as i made the first cut, that i decided to take pictures of my progress so i could do a sort of tutorial on my blog. i got to the end and wanted to pose the card for the finished product pictures (actually, 90% finished, because the personalizing of one part comes later) and…..my camera died. of couuurse. so i’ll have to charge it before i can get anywhere with that. it is sooo super cute! 

i will TRY to post that today. but, there’s suddenly the option of possibly going to the sabres game tonight, and if that’s true i’ll need to replace that with, ya know….showering. 

however, i DID post today – a giveaway!! it’s actually nothing grand. i just made an extra card that i was inspired to make from a birthday card i came up with. i thought about using it as one of luke’s cards to his ladies 😉  but matt said it was too pink to come from a boy, and that his girlfriends daddies would probably be mad that he was saying "you rock my world" to them. LOL. welllll i think we have some time before that all gets serious?

i can’t decide what i want to do about the game tonight. we had a kind of date-night-in-with-take-out planned, and i was really looking forward to it. but at the same time….i haven’t been to a sabres game WITH matt since november of 2008. i was hugely preggo. that was over a year ago. soo….it would be fun to go. but, it is snowing and gross out.
