Small Joys

When Ella reaches up and holds my hand when we walk through the house. Hearing her call me momma, ask for a kiss, then giggle, jump and hug me before running away again.

When Anna wakes up and smiles and reaches for mommy hugs first thing in the morning. Seeing her face light up when I come into the room, and come running towards me with her still tentative/wobbly steps. (I’m going to miss that when she gets more stable and runs like her sister)

Getting a big hug from my husband when he gets home from work. One of those all-encompassing, world drops away sort of hugs. It reminds me how much I’m still madly in love with my darling.

Waking up in the morning and realising that through all the stress, and all the hard work and hard times…..and lack of sleep….I am so blessed. God has seen fit to let me have the things I’ve wanted most in this life, and I should be shouting praises everyday for the joy I get to experience.
