Mmmm Cookies

Brenda asked me to make some American style chocolate chip cookies for her while she’s in the hospital, so I made a big double batch, and used dark and milk chocolate drops. MMMmmm, they’re so good. And the dough is yummy too, Because I tend to make a dozen when needed, then leave the rest of the dough in the fridge or freezer until more is wanted. Super yummy.

On another note, we have a nasty ant problem here at this house. And on Kiri’s advice, we bought some “ant sand” and Ali has just distributed it around the house. Guess we’ll see how that goes!!!

I will be sending my Christmas cards and presents this week. I’m only mailing out 3 presents myself, as the other ones I got for people in the states, and it’s easier to order from a US website (yay Amazon) and get free shipping. I know the US ones (cards) prob won’t get there in time, but oh well, the thought is there.

I’m just hanging out to get my Cricut cake machine! I really want to try it, and I reallly wish I had the thing for Ella’s bday cake. Oh well, I will have it for Anna’s! I’ve downloaded a program for it too, which is called “sure cuts a lot”, and you used it to design your own things to cut, and you can use any font as found in Word or whatever you can find online. So much more cost effective than the cartridges (which are stupidly expensive).

Other than that, we’re headed to the inlaws for dinner tonight. Still no baby visits because momma is knackered. I’m so glad my girls were full term because poor wee bubba isn’t eating well and has spend much of his time under the heat lamp. Brenda also wearily told her mother today that she was “a bit naive about babies”.(Trying not to say I told you so, I swear I’m not going to!!) Anyway, I’ve purchased some prem clothes from trademe for her, and hopefully those will be here by the time he is out of the hospital. Luckily I purchased a Christmas gift for him already, so that’s all sorted. I just have to organise my mess of Avon in the beginning of the week, then make Ella’s monstrous bday cake later in the week. Bday party on Saturday, then Christmas the week after!! Bring on Christmas, I can’t wait!!! (oh, and bday cake to be picked up on Christmas eve, my first actual cake made for a profit, woohoO!!!!)
