Yesterday I let the girls play in the rain. It was fun to watch, because first they were nervous to go out in it. About 10 minutes was spent with them standing at the end of the shelter of the house looking out…
Then Anna went out into it, and smiled her sunshine smile and stayed out. She LOVED it. She was all over the yard.
Ella was more tentative, she was sitting on her trike and wheeled herself out, and then straight to the shelter of the carport. She came out again though, and they both got decently wet (yes, they both had jackets with hoods, so it wasn’t too bad).
One of the funniest things was Anna kept leaning down and putting her mouth in puddles. Not sure if she was drinking it, so we kept telling her to stop….but I kinda think she just enjoyed the sensation of water on her lips, because she was doing the same thing to the carpet today!!
I’m down down down at the moment, and really trying not to let myself dwell. I would really like to talk to a dr about antidepressants, but because I’m pregnant, I wouldn’t risk it so I’m not going to bother.
I’m nervous that if I wait until after I give birth they will think it’s postnatal depression and make me join a talking group. That I have tried and will not help me.
Anyway, tonight is monday and my night off, I have 40 minutes left and i want to put my nose in a book for most of that.
PS the local video store is EVIL because they are now stocking American goodies. Twinkies and reeses and poptarts. 3 musketeers and other candies…even marshmallow cream!!
Anyway, I had better go now
Steph
I worry about being on medication in the future when I want to have kids. But my mom said that they have other things that can help. Possibly medication that won’t interfere with the pregnancy. I know you said you don’t like the talking groups, but what about one-on-one counseling? Ever tried that? I’m still trying to figure out if I like my therapist, Wendy, or not. lol. haha, the videostore must have gotten word that certain people must like American treats. 😉

there’s meds out there that are safe during pregnancy. You have a lot going on so don’t be too hard on yourself if you need something.
