Things that go bump in the night

Well I never got to have my soak in the tub last night! When I finished here the dogs started barking and carrying on. I am always worried about the neighbours complaining about the dogs barking so I yelled out to them to be quiet (cause my yelling isn’t going to annoy the neighbours much is it LOL)

Next I heard all of this thumping and banging and what sounded like gun shots going off. Through the windows I could see lights and hear people yelling and running on the gravel on the side of the house and the dogs going insane. I looked out the front window and there were 5 police cars in my front yard!

I ran out side and the police asked me to go back in and to take the dogs in and to lock the house. I did that and then tried to ring Paul on his mobile but I couldn’t find my mobile and that’s the only place I had his number. So I rang my mum. She calmed me down a bit as by this stage I was rather scared and in the end I found the home number of the friends house that Paul had gone to. Paul offered to come home but I figured I was ok, the whole scenario just scared me a lot and I was rather shaken.

Paul rang the police and apparently there was a large gang of youths roaming the streets causing a bit of trouble and the police were called and they gave chase…through my back yard! It is lucky the dogs didn’t bite them! The loud bangs I worked out this morning were from the cops shoes as they hit the fence! Isn’t it amazing what your brain hears when you’re scared!

SO I spent the evening in my room with Zac and the two dogs and the phone…all in the king size bed! Not quite what I had planned LOL

Just another little piece of me…..

*hugs* Im so relieved your ok! I thought you were going to end up saying there was a homicidal maniac roaming your neighbourhood or something >:|

holy crapola!!! I can only imagine how you felt..I get frightened when the stupid kids play knock & run on my door…ROFL! I look calm on the outside but a total wreck on the inside. Thankfully you were all okay. I thought you lived in a lovely area..goes to show thugs are everywhere from all walks of life. *hugs ya gently*

oh gosh, you poor lady. as if a fire wasn’t enough for you to be worrying about. i’d’ve been scared to death, too.

OH MY! That is a bit frightening. Another reason I have a dog. They are on it before anyone else, and it’s good to have that early alarm. Maxie scares the crud out of people because he’s all black and pretty studdly. You will need that soak when Paul gets home. hugs.

OMIGOODNESS! What a backyard adventure! Did they catch them? I’m so glad you’re ok!

Eeesh, I’m glad it was nothing serious. <3

Eeek! That must have been scary. Hope they caught them!?

ryn: the new baby thing… if the child spit-up doesn’t put me off, the thought of morning sickness that last the ENTIRE DAY LONG should do it. thanks for reminding me. 😉

happy australia day!

Geez! I’d hate to know that people had go traipsing through my yard! 🙁 At least you didn’t know until after it happened. Hopefully they got the idiots. 🙂
