More pictures…..*with Edit*
When I got home from work yesterday I decided to go for a ride. The weather was so nice and I thought it would be a good opportunity to take some more pictures. I have been a bit lax with the pictures of late.
I decided to explore a parkland that is about 3/4 of the way to work. I usually ride past it but never have time to stop and explore. The first cool thing I came across was this: (excuse the light it was starting to fade)
I will have to go back when there is some more light as it really was a pretty spot and I don’t think this picture does it justice.
My next discovery was this:
Again another lovely spot to come back to, maybe with a book and sit and read for a bit. The bench on the other side is actually on a little island in the middle of a lake. How cool is that? The bridge presented some more photo opportunities – reflections!
I really like the next couple of photos. I used the macro setting. The first one I just love the colour in it, such a beautiful shade of green:
When I ws taking the above pic I noticed there were a heap of dragonflies skitting about above the water. They were so fast, I didn’t know if I could catch one on film. Lucky I can be patient at times. Find the dragonfly:
Walking back off the bridge there was this beautiful rockery. Again the light was really starting to fade by this stage and it was quite dark there because I was surrounded by trees:
Time to head home. As I was riding along the foreshore I think I fell inlove with my city all over again. There were people having picnics, walking along the paths, running with their dogs, it was a hub of activity! The sun was setting and there was this beautiful pink hue over everything:
A few moments later it intensified:
And I always think this is rather cool:
Minutes after taking that picture I was home. Have I mentioned how much I love where we live?
Just another little piece of me…..
I love where you live, too!
