Another Update on Baby Sean

First of all, thank you all for your continuing prayers and support. It makes me feel a little better knowing that I can at least inlist some good thoughts and prayers since there’s not much else I can do.

Sean’s bleeding is still stopped, but they are doing cat scans every hour to check to be sure it hasn’t started again.  The doctors said that he is lucky that his soft spot hasn’t fused together yet, or else they would be dealing with a different situation as his swelling brain wouldn’t have had anywhere to go.

They did the spinal tap (They sedated him for it, Thank God) and will get the results in a few days. They are looking for an infection that could have caused the bleed in his brain- specifically meningitis. I’m sure you all know how serious meningitis us, so I really hope that isn’t it… at the same time, I hope they at least find a cause for the bleed. It’s scary to think that it could have just been spontaneous because of his hemophilia.

For anyone who hasn’t read the first two entries I’ll update you a bit- Sean is a 9 month old baby boy. He’s my friend’s son. He and my Makenzie were due on the same day and his mom and I were "Due date buddies". We met online when we found out we were pregnant and have stayed friends since along with a few other moms who were also due on the same day. 

To think of any baby/mother going through this is difficult, but this just hits really close to home and I’m incredibly worried about Sean and his mom. Thanks again for your prayers! 🙂
