I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN.

This is the email I got from Monica:

I am finally going to see Luis this coming weekend. Are you going to be in town? I thought I might stop on the way down or back and see you and your family if that is okay. If not, or if you have plans, then I understand. I am heading down to Laredo Friday…don’t know what time Luis is going to be there yet. I had thought about heading to Dallas on Thursday, and then getting up and heading to Laredo Friday morning. Luis is going to call me tomorrow night and let me know what time he expects to be in Laredo and where I am to meet him. Let me know if it would be okay with you and David and which you would prefer…Thursday or Monday or Tuesday? My cell # is XXX.

This is my reply:

Hi Monica! It would be great to see you. We are just starting basketball season. I know that Thursday one of the kids has practice from 6-7. I will get their schedules at practice this week but I know there will be a game Monday or Tuesday night and maybe both, I just don’t know what time.

So Thursday after 7 would be good. Monday or Tuesday would be good too, I just don’t know what time (the games start anywhere from 6-8).

My cell # is XXX. If I don’t hear from you sooner, I’ll call you Thursday to see if you want to meet that night & by then I should know about Mon/Tues.

She says "see you" and I say "meet". Right? Right?? This is her reply today:

    I think I will head your way Thursday afternoon, timing it to arrive after 7, if that is okay. I think it would make the whole trip easier and less stressful for me, so I really appreciate you and your family’s hospitality! :0) It has been 3 years since I have seen Luis!!! Crazy, I know, but that is the way it is. I saw him in 2004, 4 months before my Dad passed away. I am really happy to be seeing him again.
    Can you e-mail me the best directions to get to your house? I am working till midnight again tonight, so hopefully I will get up early enough to get everything done that I need to. Thanks again! I look forward to seeing you guys!! :0)

Whaa? Hospitality?? Sounds like she is inviting herself to stay with us?

I hate to be this way, but I don’t want her to stay here. We have no room, it is hard enough getting 5 people ready to leave the house by 7:00 Friday morning without having a guest in the house. Ugh ugh ugh.
