TERRIBLE NEWS (ok not really)
We had no power last night and so I missed Lost!!!
We had a bad line of thunderstorms come through the area last night. We were under a tornado warning for a while and apparently there were tornadoes spotted in Arlington. It was raining while I was driving home, then right when I got to the exit to get off the highway at the in-law’s, it started POURING. I got to their house ok (to pick up the kids) and we stayed there for a little bit to wait it out. It seemed to lessen up, and I was feeling bad for Pepper being home alone (and also probably needing to go out) so we left around 6. When we were about halfway home, the rain and wind really picked up again. The streets were flooded and the rain was blowing sideways. It was pretty scary. Two streets before mine I was sitting in the left turn lane and noticed the water was over the concrete divider between the left turn lane and the opposite traffic. I was kind of afraid I wasn’t going to make it. My street was not as flooded, but I got down close to my house and there was a huge tree down across the road! My heart was sinking because there are no outlets on this street, my only option would have been to turn around and go back to the flooded street and go around the block. I really did not want to get back on that street. Then I saw the car in front of me go through this house’s circle drive, which circled around the tree. So I did the same. The guy was standing in his yard looking at his tree, and I felt bad to just use his driveway like that, but oh well.
I was nervous about what we would find at our house but everything was fine. Our basketball goal was still up and the umbrella in the patio table was still up (closed, but still in the table). The house next door had huge limbs down in their yard. I thought maybe the big tree got struck by lightning, but it did look like some hard wind came through there too.
Then we went inside and there was no electricity. It finally came on about 6:30 this morning.
So that was our excitement. Now I have to see if I can watch that episode online.
Sounds like a bad storm. I’m always freaked out from tornado warnings. I thought you had 2 dogs?

Yikes. Sounds like some bad storms. Sorry that you had to miss Lost because of it, but glad everything & everyone at your house is okay. We’re going thru a really bad dry spell up here in WI right now … lots of grass & forest fires and it’s only supposed to get worse this weekend. :-o/
