Sunday Morning

We’ve had a nice weekend, weather-wise. The sun is shining but it wasn’t too terribly hot yesterday. This morning, it actually felt cool.

I did nothing important yesterday! It was nice. I took a day off laundry (howcome no one ever told me that having 3 kids would mean I would need to do 2 loads of laundry EVERY SINGLE DAY just to keep up?!). I intended to do some other cleaning, but it didn’t happen. I did dust the living room and my bedroom.

I found Courtney’s library book that had been missing for 4 weeks (it was in a tote bag in her closet). I found a bag David had been looking for (it was under the seat in his truck). I found Benjamin’s swim shirt that was missing from the last time we went swimming (also under the seat in David’s truck). I cleaned out my car and went to the library because I had a book on hold.

We got the sprinkler out and let the kids play in it. They had fun, although David had just mowed so they were a big grassy mess when they were done. I washed them off with the hose on the patio then sent them in for baths.

We ordered pizza for supper and watched Four Brothers. I liked it although it was pretty violent.

Last week was the first week of David keeping the kids. He will keep them until school starts, then we’re planning to put Benjamin in daycare and have David work his teaching schedule so that he can pick the girls up after school every day. Benjamin’s new thing is to walk around the house saying "oh shit" which I know he has picked up from MIL, and yesterday he walked by Pepper and said "I hate that stupid dog" which I have heard verbatim out of MIL’s mouth (in reference to her dog, not Pepper). So I think things have run their course with her keeping the kids on a regular basis.

It’s sunny again today, hopefully it will stay that way. These days of unrelenting rain we were having were making me unhappy.
