Hotter Than Hell

We haven’t really had any hot weather yet. The title comes from hearing that song on the radio this morning. A coworker of mine told me about a college radio station he listens to that plays alot of classic rock and things you wouldn’t hear on other stations. This morning I heard (in a row), Hotter Than Hell (Kiss), La Vida Loca (Ricky Martin), and Copacabana. Now that was an interesting combination. It reminds me of a few times when I would put all kinds of random CD’s in the player and hit shuffle. David would complain: "I can listen to George Strait, I can listen to Metallica, I can even listen to this Irish crap whatever it is, but not all at the same time!"

Well I feel like a big drama queen for complaining about Monica. We had an enjoyable time. There is some history there so my hesitance was not completely out of the blue but nothing out of the ordinary happened this time. I didn’t offer my opinion about Luis and she didn’t ask.

Rebecca had her first basketball practice last night. She and Courtney are going to have games on the same nights at different schools. This is going to be fun (not).

I just got back from taking Luke for a walk. He is a big sweetheart. Pepper is sweet too but she is also wild. She jumps and pulls on the leash and jumps all around. He is just chill. The two females together were wild and fighting. After we gave Ginger away though, David still thought Pepper needed a playmate. We thought about getting a lab or an older Boxer. (This was after he also thought about giving Pepper away but then he decided he couldn’t do it). He started talking to some people from a Boxer rescue, and they said they would never place a female in a home that had another female Boxer because of aggression and territorial issues. So that made us feel a little better I guess about Ginger. Anyway, instead of going through the rescue group he saw an ad for Luke on Craigslist and got him. He is sweet and good with the kids. Pepper is still recovering from being spayed so we haven’t had them together yet, but Luke lived with other dogs on a farm so I think he will be ok with her. Hopefully Pepper will be ok with him.

I haven’t heard anything new about Tyler. His little hometown newspaper finally had an article about him online today. It said that the power lines fell, not the pole. I’m not sure they still have the whole story. The article said he is 16 and a junior. I knew he was a little older than Taylor but I couldn’t remember how much.

Courtney’s friend Kenzie (who happens to be Cason’s twin) called at 11:00 last night. David answered the phone and gave her a hard time. "Is Courtney here? What do you mean is Courtney here? Aren’t you at your house at 11:00 at night? Of course she’s here. But she’s ASLEEP." It was funny.

I’m going to get a cold drink and put my feet up. I have some errands to run tomorrow but nowhere  I have to be at any certain time. Yay for that.

i love a variety of music too. When I would go down to Dallas to visit Mo, I would listen to jack fm. That sounds like music that would be on that station. 🙂

Female dogs always seem to be a little more hyper. I hope Luke continues to be a good fit.
