Another Funeral

David’s brother-in-law died yesterday. We don’t know any details, other than he wasn’t getting enough oxygen, even after having a tracheotomy. I still don’t know how that’s related to the leukemia, or if it stemmed from a secondary infection. We’re in a little bit of shock because he was so young and his kids are the same age (roughly) as ours and what if this happened to us?? And we feel guilty because we haven’t seen them in so long; when we stopped hearing from Patty we also stopped trying to contact her which seems rather petty now.

We don’t know when the funeral will be, but we’re guessing either Saturday or Monday. We were already planning to be in SA both of those days. So we will go to the funeral, then continue on with our vacation plans. That seems kind of crappy.

Bad things happening in pairs makes me nervous. I keep waiting for the third thing.
